Stillness (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a standing-meditation wellness app. This Privacy Policy
explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use
the Stillness mobile app, related websites (including stillnessme.com), and early-access forms.
Camera video stays on your device.
When posture guidance is on, pose analysis runs locally with on-device machine learning.
We do not upload or store camera video streams or recordings to our servers.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to users of Stillness on Android (and future platforms), visitors to our
marketing site, and people who apply for early access / closed testing.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account & identity
Email address and authentication identifiers when you sign in with email/password or Google Sign-In.
Optional display name or profile fields you provide.
A public Daily alias (for example “Somatic Seeker” + digits) if you claim one for the community feed.
2.2 Practice & wellness data
Session metadata: practice title, duration, start/end time, phase progress (preparation, practice, wrap-up).
Derived metrics such as stillness/stability scores, correction counts, body-drift labels, breath-stability labels, and short AI-generated practice insights.
Journal / result-card content after a session, and practice history stored in your Digital Practice Archive.
Preferences: language, practice ambient sound (for example river, sea, forest, silence).
Pose landmarks and breath cues used during a live session are processed on-device to produce the
metrics above. We store summary metrics and logs you keep in the app; we do not store the raw camera feed.
2.3 Community (“Daily”)
Posts you choose to publish (feelings, session title, metrics, AI summary, optional stability series).
Reactions you place on others’ posts (for example resonance, co-practice).
Public visibility settings for content you publish.
2.4 Subscriptions & purchases
Pro entitlement status (whether Stillness Pro is active) via Google Play Billing and RevenueCat.
We do not receive your full payment card number. Payment is handled by Google Play / the store.
2.5 Early access / beta waitlist (website)
If you join Early Access on stillnessme.com: email, country, device type (Android), experience level, preferred practice time, and submission time.
We use this to invite testers to Google Play closed testing and improve the product.
2.6 Device, diagnostics & support
Basic technical data needed to run the app (for example device/OS version where provided by platform SDKs).
Crash or error information if crash reporting is enabled in a given build.
Camera: optional; used only for posture-assisted practice. You can deny access and still use non-camera sessions (for example Office Reset).
Internet: account sync, Daily feed, subscriptions, and cloud backup of practice logs when signed in.
Notifications (if enabled): optional reminders or service messages.
3. How we use information
Provide standing practice sessions (preparation → practice → wrap-up), timers, ambient audio, and voice cues.
Show on-device posture and breath guidance when you enable camera-assisted practice.
Save and sync your archive, journal results, and preferences across devices when signed in.
Operate Daily: publish, browse, and react to community practice cards.
Manage Stillness Pro entitlements and unlock longer sessions.
Run early-access / closed testing invitations.
Secure accounts, prevent abuse, fix bugs, and improve reliability.
Respond to support and legal requests.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, we process data under one or more of: contract (to provide the app),
consent (for example camera or marketing where required), legitimate interests (security, product improvement),
and legal obligation.
5. Sharing & third-party services
We share data only as needed to operate Stillness:
Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and related infrastructure.
Google Sign-In / Google Play — sign-in and Android billing.
RevenueCat — subscription entitlement management with the app store.
On-device ML — Google ML Kit (or similar) for pose analysis on your device.
Community posts you publish are visible to other signed-in users of Stillness.
6. Retention
Account and practice data: while your account is active.
Daily posts and reactions: until you delete them or delete your account.
Beta waitlist entries: until we close the waitlist or you ask us to remove your email.
Support emails: as long as needed to resolve your request and for legitimate records.
Backups may retain residual copies for a short period after deletion.
7. Your choices & rights
Update preferences in Settings (language, ambient sound, etc.).
Control camera permission in system settings.
Unpublish or avoid publishing to Daily.
Cancel Stillness Pro in Google Play → Subscriptions.
Delete your account in-app (Settings → Account) or follow our account-deletion page; this removes cloud practice logs, Daily posts authored by you, reactions, and profile data associated with your UID, subject to backup cycles.
Regional rights (access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection) — contact us at czfgreat@gmail.com.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures provided by our cloud providers (encryption in transit, access controls).
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Children
Stillness is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to delete it.
10. International transfers
We may process data in the United States and other countries where Firebase, Google, or RevenueCat operate.
Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
11. Health disclaimer (privacy context)
Stillness is a wellness practice tool, not a medical device. Metrics and insights are for personal
reflection only and are not diagnoses. See also our Terms of Service.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
