Privacy Policy

This policy covers Japanese Study (일본문자), the Hiragana and Katakana learning app by SKYAPPS, version 2.0 and later.

Learning data & crash reports

No account is required. Preferences, review choices and first-use data stay on your device. Handwriting and quiz answers are temporary and are not uploaded by the app. Audio is bundled; no microphone, camera, contacts or GPS access is requested. Firebase Crashlytics automatically sends error/crash traces, installation/session identifiers and device, OS and app information to Google to diagnose faults and improve stability. We do not add your name, handwriting or quiz answers to reports.

Advertising

Google AdMob and advertising partners may process IP addresses (approximate location), device/app information, Android ad ID, iOS IDFA when allowed, app/developer-bounded or other device/account identifiers, interactions and diagnostics for ads, measurement, permitted personalization and fraud prevention. Android App Set ID is used for analytics and fraud prevention, not ad personalization or measurement; it is not linked with advertising IDs or personal data for advertising. Providers may process data abroad. Google's services operate under its privacy and applicable data-protection terms. See the Google Privacy Policy.

Your privacy choices

Where required, Google's consent form provides ad choices and partner details. Use Ad privacy options in the top-right more menu when available, or your device's tracking and ad-ID controls. Refusal does not necessarily stop all ad data processing. These ad controls do not control Crashlytics reporting. Consent changes apply going forward and do not erase earlier records. Learning does not require tracking permission.

Retention & security

Preferences remain until you clear Android app data or delete the iOS app; offloading/backups may preserve them. Crashlytics retains reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before starting deletion from live and backup systems. Advertising data follows providers' retention policies. Deleting the app does not erase provider records. App data uses system storage; Google Mobile Ads and Firebase encrypt data in transit. No system is completely secure.

Support & your rights

If you email us, we and our email provider process your address, message and attachments for support or privacy requests. We retain them only as needed for that purpose or legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also request a copy, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent or complain to a privacy authority.

Children & policy updates

This is a general-audience app, not specifically directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information. We update this page and its date when practices change, and provide additional notice or consent where required.
