April in Review 🎉

Goodbye April! Hello May 👋🏻

April was full of energy, creativity and fun, especially with the school holidays in full swing!

We kicked things off by introducing a brand-new journaling activity. Each participant received their own workbook packed with alphabet-themed exercises—tracing, colouring, object matching and more. It’s been a fantastic way to mix learning with creativity, and everyone has loved getting involved.

Things got a little messy (in the best way!) during our sensory play sessions, where participants made their own colourful play dough from scratch using simple ingredients, as part of our Autism Awareness Day Celebrations. There were lots of smiles, laughter and hands-on fun all around. In the kitchen, our budding chefs whipped up delicious cheese and spinach borek—which was definitely a crowd favourite!

The school holidays brought even more excitement, with a jam-packed schedule of both in-centre and community adventures. From teeing off at mini golf in Thornleigh, to a fun-filled scavenger hunt at Blaxland Riverside Park, to burning off energy at Ultimate Family Play Centre in Northmead—there was never a dull moment! We also got into the festive spirit by making our own chocolate eggs and bunnies.

To wrap up an amazing month, we baked ANZAC biscuits to commemorate ANZAC Day, tapped into our inner artists with self-portraits, and headed out into the community to enjoy a relaxing lunch together.

What a month it’s been! Don’t forget to check out our full recap video on social media to see all the highlights.

The last 4 months have been quite a whirlwind for us and we have been grateful for all the support we have received so far. We can't wait to see what May will bring us.

Autism Awareness Day

April 2 marked World Autism Awareness Day.

To mark the occasion, we engaged in a fun and hands-on sensory activity by making our own play dough. Using simple ingredients, participants explored different textures, colours and shapes, creating an enjoyable and calming experience for everyone involved.

World Autism Awareness Day is a time to recognise and celebrate the many different ways people feel, learn and express themselves. It was wonderful to see each participant engage in their own unique way—reminding us that every moment, every perspective, and every individual is truly something special.

Ellee-Rose goes to NRL

A few weeks back, our friend Ellee-Rose, joined the thousands of people who all ventured CommBank Stadium in Parramatta to witness the Parramatta Eels take on the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs.

The game spanned over 80 gruelling minutes, with the Bulldogs ultimately accepting their defeat, losing to the Eels 38-20.

We're so glad that Ellee was able to have the time of her life at the game.
