The 3-ONE: Purposeful Victim, Thinking Yourself Out of Fear, & an Inappropriate Word

February 25th, 2025 | www.NSCcoaching.com

My observations from over 50 powerful conversations this week with elite CEOs, from a variety of industries, across the Nation that are experiencing tremendous growth in THIS market…

We've distilled the most impactful conversations to share one empowering question stack, one mind-bending bumper-sticker quote, and one concept to challenge your status quo this week.

An Empowering Question Stack to Consider

Are you purposely choosing to be a victim or purposely choosing to be accountable? (If you aren’t purposely choosing accountable you will default to victim.)

A Mind-Bending, Bumper-Sticker Quote to Consider

“Fear is an emotion. Belief is a thought. You can think your way out of fear. But you can’t feel your way out of fear.” - Gary Keller

A Concept to Challenge Your Status Quo

If it’s important to you ‘try’ is a word that falls short of the attitude you need to accomplish your goal….

Gary Keller shared a story about a mentor that shaped his life. As the story goes, Gary had just been given orders to sell a certain inventory of properties.

In response, Gary said, “I’ll give it my best try!”

As Gary was about to leave the office, the mentor asked him to close the door and come back in. He shared with Gary that there wasn’t an option of not selling the inventory as the mentor was “all in” on this particular strategic business move. He continued by putting a pen on the table and asked Gary to show him what “trying to pick up the pen looked like.” After Gary proceeded to offer a number of postures and approaches the message was received.

Either the action is done or it is not… There is no try. It’s an inappropriate word when the achievement is meaningful.
