Build the Identity First
A lot of people want better results.
More money.
More confidence.
More consistency.
But they’re still negotiating with who they are.
I was talking to someone who had a strong week.
Made good money.
Showed up better.
Did things they weren’t doing before.
And you could tell something was starting to shift.
But the important part wasn’t the numbers.
It was what they were starting to believe about themselves.
They spoke up more.
That alone changed how they felt.
Not because it was perfect…
but because they actually did it.
That’s where identity starts to move.
Not from thinking differently.
From acting differently…
even if it’s a little uncomfortable.
People wait too long for that.
They want to feel confident first.
They want to feel like “that person” before they start showing up like it.
Doesn’t work.
You build identity through evidence.
Small moments where you do something you normally wouldn’t.
Speak when you’d usually stay quiet.
Push a little longer than you normally would.
Stay in it when you’d usually pull back.
That’s how your brain updates.
Not from affirmations.
From proof.
And once that starts to happen…
you don’t need as much motivation.
Because now you’ve got something real to stand on.
I’ve watched people change their entire trajectory…
just from starting to act like the version of themselves they keep talking about.
Not perfectly.
Just consistently enough.
You don’t need to become someone else.
You need to start showing up as someone you can actually respect.
Where in your life are you still waiting to feel ready…
instead of just starting to move differently?
