At the same time, our recent participation in the State of Our Schools Address in New York City highlighted our commitment beyond higher education. As a Student Acquisition and Success Partner (SSP), we’re working with middle and high schools to create stronger academic pipelines that prepare students for college and beyond, expanding access, building equity, and ensuring long-term student success.

This season, our focus remains clear: celebrating the legacy of HBCUs while creating pathways that carry students from the classroom to career and lifelong opportunity.

EKG Technician

Launch Your Career as an EKG Technician

with MedCerts!

Electrocardiograph (EKG or ECG) technicians perform diagnostic tests to aid doctors in identifying and treating cardiovascular problems in patients. With additional on-the-job EKG training or experience, you may specialize in areas such as cardiac catheterization, Holter monitoring, phonocardiography, stress testing, and vectorcardiography. You should have an interest in high-tech mechanical equipment and be able to sympathize and reassure patients who are apprehensive about the testing procedure.

• Demonstrate an understanding of the soft skill expectations of an allied healthcare professional

• Grasp the importance of customer service, communication skills and professionalism

• Understand the responsibilities related to performance of electrocardiograms, application of Holter monitors and assistance with stress testing
