Things aren’t always what we assume.
Growing up, I used to think that age automatically meant wisdom. That if someone was older, they were smarter, more experienced, and had life figured out. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned that’s not always the case. I’ve met young people who are incredibly sharp and mature, and I’ve met adults who lack some of the key tools needed for growth and perspective.
Real knowledge doesn’t just come with age. It comes with intention. It’s about being focused, ignoring distractions, and applying what you’ve learned to how you move and think. We can go through life, day after day, and still not grow if we’re not intentional about learning.
What I’ve come to respect is the mindset of being young at heart. Those who keep a fresh perspective, who live fully and face each day with curiosity and openness, they have an edge.
So here’s a challenge for all of us: let’s check in with ourselves. Let’s rethink the idea that age equals wisdom and instead focus on how we’re choosing to grow. Are we learning something new? Are we listening more? Are we applying what we know to make better decisions?
Wisdom isn’t about age. It’s about experience, choices, and the ability to keep adjusting and evolving.
Knowledge is power. So keep learning—on purpose, every day.
