December Dog of the Month

Meet Mocha

Meet Mocha, your new best friend!

Mocha is a beautiful one year old mixed breed dog with the most amazing ears! She loves making new doggie friends and wrestling with them in the yard. She’s then happy to come back inside and snuggle with her family on the sofa.

Mocha and her brother Champ (who is also still available for adoption) were abandoned in North Kansas City in September.  Shortly after arriving at the shelter, Mocha was spayed. While at the veterinary clinic, she gave her caretakers quite a scare as she had some excessive bleeding around her incision. Because of this, she had to stay overnight  to be monitored. In the short time there, she won the hearts of her veterinarian and vet tech staff. They even gave Mocha a certificate for being the “Best Patient”, which will be given to her new family when she is adopted.

Mocha has great listening skills and is treat motivated. This will help her learn what her new family needs her to know. She is a fun-loving girl who is up for any and all adventures and gives the best kisses. She would love a home with another dog who loves to play! Come meet Mocha!

Mocha is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $105.

Contact the NKC Animal Shelter:(816) 274-6024, DM us on Facebook, or email us at cblundell@nkc.org.
