Maintaining Ads During Slow Seasons and Marketing Solutions
First, marketing during slow times.
It’s July and a typically slow season for the mid-size ticket home services industry. Everyone is busy with vacations, family reunions, and just being outside enjoying the summer.
But don’t let your foot off the awareness pedal. It’s important to keep the message presence for your brand during slow purchase times. WHY? Because those who know they WILL or WANT to do projects will see it. And - because they are otherwise occupied - they will remember better because of the emotional desire attached when they see the brand combined with their realization that they need to wait.
So – keep the message out there!
Second, social media marketing should be PART of your full marketing approach.
Social media marketing CAN BE highly effective.
Let me pause and take a moment to define "effective." To me, it means going to the right audience, in the right way, for the right cost. For example, I get offers regularly to advertise in NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL games and even solicitations to advertise in Times Square. Usually, these individuals are promoting the popularity of the team, the number of attendees or fans, or some other prominence that goes with their offer. “Times Square! Millions know it and see it…” But – none of those methods align tightly enough (for the cost and conversion) to homeowners. So I pass every time.
Back to the plan – social media is PART of your marketing approach. Employ other methods of getting your message and call to action in front of homeowners. AND make sure that every bit of effective marketing has continuity. Each franchise provides logos, taglines, colors, and fonts, and that helps – but ALSO make sure that ALL your ads align on common themes, words, offers, and whatever else you are seeking to accomplish.
We are here to help. We would love to set up a time to review your other marketing and consult or to adjust what we do for you to align, etc.
