“The Generation To Come”

Our nation has just celebrated its 250th birthday. Times like this cause us to both look back and look ahead. As we think about the goodness of God on our country we are filled with gratitude. But what does the future hold? The key to a nation is in reaching the next generation.

Much of our ministry in the summer months is concentrated on preaching the gospel and teaching the Bible to young people. 37 years ago God called me to the ministry in a teen camp and it is a great joy to invest in the next generation. Please pray that God will give us the strength for each meeting and join us in asking the Lord to call many more into His work.

"One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts." (Psalm 145:4)

The second quarter of the year has been full of wonderful meetings in churches, schools and camps. I have had the privilege to speak in 86 services in 12 states and Vancouver, B.C. Canada. 112 precious souls have responded to profess faith in Christ, along with many other spiritual decisions. We give God praise for every blessing!

New doors are beginning to open for radio and television outlets. Please help us pray for divine leading. Your support and prayers are such an encouragement as we seek to advance the gospel. May the Lord bless you and your family this summer!

National Day of Prayer & A Night of Hope

The Lord graciously blessed both community events. Around 200 people attended the evening A Night of Hope service. Connection cards indicated that 35 attendees at A Night of Hope trusted Christ as Savior, while seven individuals also indicated decisions for Christ during the National Day of Prayer Ceremony. We rejoice in what the Lord has done and trust Him to continue working in each life.

Passing The Shepherd's Staff

A new ETJ Conversation is now available! Scott sat down with two shepherds - his father (Pastor Emeritus Roger Pauley) and Pastor (Kevin Cormican) - and they discussed how God directed the church through the pastoral transition. An Update From Evangelist Chase Whitten

As summer temperatures rise, so does momentum for gospel work among our young people. Opportunities, including youth camps, VBS, and an upcoming young preachers and mentor conference in Arkansas, have kept days full and hearts encouraged.

Recent ministry has stretched across the Appalachian region from Georgia to West  (best) Virginia. Several young people have made professions of faith, and many more are gaining clarity on how to connect their lives and “youth” to God’s mission.
