Mental Health Awareness Week 2026

11–17 May 2026

Mental Health Awareness Week is an important opportunity to raise awareness, encourage open conversations, and remind people that mental wellbeing matters every single day. At MapleWills, we understand that planning for the future is about more than finances and legal documents—it is also about peace of mind, emotional wellbeing, and supporting the people we care about most.

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, beginning on 11 May, is a chance to reflect on the importance of kindness, connection, and self-care in our daily lives. In a fast-paced world, many people experience stress, anxiety, loneliness, or emotional exhaustion. Yet too often, these struggles remain hidden.

Mental health affects how we think, feel, communicate, and cope with life’s challenges. Just as we care for our physical health, taking care of our mental wellbeing should be a priority. Simple actions such as talking openly, spending time outdoors, staying connected with loved ones, and taking moments to rest can make a significant difference.

At MapleWills, we believe that compassion and support are essential at every stage of life. Whether helping families plan ahead or offering reassurance during difficult times, our goal is always to provide guidance with understanding and care.

During Mental Health Awareness Week, we encourage everyone to:

  • Check in on friends, family, and colleagues

  • Take breaks and prioritise self-care

  • Speak openly about mental health without fear or stigma

  • Seek professional support when needed

  • Remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness

No one should feel alone in their struggles. By creating supportive communities and encouraging honest conversations, we can help build a healthier and kinder future for everyone. This Mental Health Awareness Week, let’s take small steps together toward better wellbeing—for ourselves and for those around us.

This May the Fourth, don’t leave your future to the dark side… 🌌✨

Whether you’re protecting your family, your home, or your galaxy of loved ones, having a Will in place brings true peace of mind. At MapleWills, we help make estate planning simple, stress-free, and far more powerful than a lightsaber. ⚔️🍁

May the Fourth be with you… always

Did you know even world famous celebrities sadly die without a will?

The recent news surrounding former One Direction star Liam Payne has highlighted an issue that affects thousands of families across the UK every year — dying without a valid Will. Reports indicate that Liam Payne passed away without putting formal estate planning arrangements in place. As a result, his estate is now being handled according to the strict intestacy rules of England and Wales, rather than according to his personal wishes. While many people assume Wills are only necessary later in life, this case is a reminder that unexpected events can happen at any age.

What Happens If You Die Without a Will?

When someone dies without a valid Will, the law decides who inherits their estate. This can often lead to outcomes that may not reflect what the person would actually have wanted. Under current intestacy rules:

  • Unmarried partners are not automatically entitled to inherit

  • Children may inherit at age 18

  • Family disputes and delays can become more likely

  • The administration process may become more stressful and expensive

In Liam Payne’s reported case, his estate is expected to pass largely to his child under the intestacy rules because he was not married at the time of his death.

Why This Matters to Ordinary Families

You do not need to have a celebrity-sized estate for these issues to affect you. Even modest estates involving:

  • property

  • savings

  • pensions

  • business interests

  • digital assets

  • or dependent children

can become legally complicated when no Will exists.

A professionally prepared Will allows you to:

  • choose who inherits your assets

  • appoint guardians for children

  • select trusted executors

  • protect unmarried partners

  • reduce uncertainty and family stress

It’s Never Too Early to Plan Ahead

One of the biggest misconceptions about Wills is that they are only for older people. In reality, anyone with children, property, savings, or loved ones they wish to protect should consider putting a Will in place. Estate planning is not about expecting the worst — it is about giving the people you care about clarity, security, and peace of mind.

It's World Bee Day on the 20th May!

🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

🐝 World Bee Day🐝  – Small Steps That Protect What Matters Most

World Bee Day is a reminder of just how important small things can be. Bees may be tiny, but their role in protecting nature, supporting growth, and sustaining future generations is enormous.

At MapleWills, we believe the same can be said for planning ahead.

Just as bees work tirelessly to protect and provide for their hive, creating a Will is one of the most thoughtful ways to protect the people you love. A simple step taken today can help provide clarity, security, and peace of mind for your family in the future.

Without bees, ecosystems struggle to survive. Without a Will, families can often face unnecessary stress, uncertainty, and complications during already difficult times. Planning ahead helps ensure your wishes are respected and your loved ones are cared for exactly as you intended.

World Bee Day is also a wonderful opportunity to reflect on community, care, and legacy. Bees thrive through teamwork and preparation—values that are just as important when it comes to protecting our homes, families, and futures.

At MapleWills, we are proud to help individuals and families make those important plans with confidence, compassion, and expert guidance.

This World Bee Day, let’s celebrate the power of small actions that create a lasting impact.

Protect what matters most today — for a better tomorrow. 🐝🍁

Also this May 20th is our MD Bal Budesha’s birthday 🎂

Happy Birthday Bal!
