The Partnership Playbook Heading

The AI Revolution for EAs, Management Tip of the Day, and Root Veggies

November 7, 2025

Every time I started a new admin job, I’d learn something that made me think, “Well damn… I wish I knew that at my last job.” It would’ve saved me time, energy, and a whole lot of unnecessary stress. That’s the nature of this non-stop role — we’re constantly learning as we go, often the hard way.

But now? I’m downright jealous. The AI revolution has landed, and I’m no longer the Chief of Simon Sinek. If I’d had tools like ChatGPT back when I was in the thick of it, I would’ve saved so much time, worked fewer weekends, and probably made way fewer mistakes. (Okay…maybe… hopefully.)

So if you’ve been nervous or skeptical about AI, here’s my advice: don’t be scared. It’s actually really cool once you try it. And if you’re anything like me, the dopamine hits from crossing more off my to-do list every day are worth it.

And if you're not sure where to start, I'm actually launching a course built for admins who are ready to become an even more strategic, irreplaceable partner using AI. Check it out here!

Assistants—The AI Revolution isn’t Coming… It’s Here.

Every single job I’ve recruited for in the past six months has included some variation of this line in the job description: “Must understand AI and know how to automate tasks.”

Executives want assistants who can use AI. But here’s the most important part: they’re not looking to replace you with AI.

They want you + AI.

Why the Job Feels So Hard Sometimes

It hit me this week why so many of us struggle in our admin roles: we’re highly organized people who thrive on having context. We like being “in the know” and understanding how things fit — because that’s how we arrange, rearrange, and make magic happen.

But the job is built on mess. New bosses, shifting priorities, half-baked info — it’s our job to make it make sense. We can’t create order without starting in chaos. And wow, do we hate chaos.

So if you’re feeling off your game lately, it’s not you. You’re wired for clarity while working in constant uncertainty — and still crushing it.

Root Veggie Party Time

I’m a winter vegetable kind of gal, so this is my season. Shout out to potatoes, carrots, cabbage, and squash — the MVPs of cold-weather comfort.

Harvard Business Review’s Management Tip of the Day

A quick daily hit of insight from HBR that’s actually… useful. It’s smart, relevant, and takes 30 seconds to read — perfect for assistants who want to stay sharp without reading a whole business book.

Title: Executive Assistant
Location: Crown Point, IN | Hybrid
Salary: $70-75k

About the Role:
This is a role for an experienced EA ready to step into something bigger. You’ll be the right hand to a driven, values-led agency owner, Trish Geyer, overseeing a rapidly scaling Allstate Insurance business with multiple office locations and a bold vision for growth. Your responsibilities will stretch across day-to-day execution and strategic support—shaping the structure behind the scenes while empowering her to stay focused on the big picture.

This is not a reactive, wait-for-instructions position. It’s a proactive, forward-leaning partnership. You’ll be expected to identify what’s missing, make recommendations, and move processes and initiatives forward in an environment that is still building its internal systems.

And while Trish has built a thriving agency, this will be her first time working with an Executive Assistant. That’s an opportunity—and a responsibility. You’ll need to guide the relationship from day one: demonstrating what great support looks like, coaching her on what to hand off (and how), and helping her unlock new levels of focus, follow-through, and leadership capacity.
