I’ve been thinking a lot about the conversations at the AI Advantage Summit, hosted by Dean Graziosi and Tony Robbins last week, from a True North perspective. Not the tech, but the truth beneath it.
What does True North mean exactly?
It's your inner GPS - your values, beliefs, habits and behaviours). It's the lense you look through when you make decisions and when you take action - every day. It directly shares how you lead, how you show up and what impact you make from a place that is authentically YOU.
In a world racing forward, AI replacing our jobs and diminishing our humanity is a hot topic. I'd like to challenge this idea.
The AI Surfer talked about the idea of 90% AI, 10% Humanity. At first glance, this alarmed me. What this actually means is that AI does 90% of the tasks you don't like so that you can spend most of your time on the 10% of your job, your business that you love. What this means is that you can AMPLIFY your humanity because you have more space and time doing what you're great at. Have a listen to what he had to say...
As an extensive user of AI as my strategic partner in my business every day, here's what I'm experiencing:
AI CAN automate, speed things up and make things efficient. It can take on the tasks you don't like. It can take the kernel of an idea you have and amplifiy your creativity and thinking.
AI CAN'T give you your identity - your values, your beliefs, your principales - what makes you you because they existed long before AI did. It can’t define what matters to you or tell you how to lead and live (your True North).
That part is yours.
Sabrina Romanov spoke about authenticity in the AI era - not as a buzzword - but in terms of ALIGNMENT: your values, your voice, your purpose.
And Dr Arthur Brooks reminded us:
“You can’t control the world around you.
But you can create change within yourself — if you know how.”
This is the part so many of us forget amidst the 'noise' of our day-to-day:
You can’t control organisational pace.
You can’t control politics or pressure.
You can’t control the noise.
But you can strengthen the part of you that guides every decision:
Your identity. Your True North.
It’s what helped me leave corporate life when MEANING, LEGACY and FAMILY became louder than fear. It’s what still anchors how I lead Turas today.
And here’s your Top Pick this week — the one shift that changes everything:
