Featured Ride: The Pedernales River Winter Loop

Kick off the year with this peaceful 55-mile ride west of Austin. Start on Bee Cave Road and cruise toward Pedernales Falls State Park. Roll through soft winter hills, exposed limestone cliffs, and quiet ranch roads. Continue along Hamilton Pool Road or cut down to Fitzhugh Road for a perfect mix of curves and wide-open scenery.

Why it’s perfect in January:
Cool temps, low traffic, and dramatic winter sunsets over the Pedernales Valley.

Pro Tip:
Stop at Texas Bean & Brew in Dripping Springs for a mid-ride warmup—great coffee and rider-friendly parking.

🏍 Did You Know? Motorcycle Facts

  • Some riders complete the “SaddleSore 1000,” riding 1,000 miles in 24 hours—Central Texas is a popular route due to its open highways.

  • Motorcycle endorsement (Class M) required on your driver’s license[15].
