🚭 Vape Ban Now in Force — Are Flavoured Vapes Next?
The government is considering a ban on vape flavours like mango, cherry and bubblegum. Should they go too?
From 1 June 2025, it became illegal to sell disposable vapes in the UK. But that may just be the start. Now, ministers are turning their attention to flavoured vapes, with growing pressure to ban sweet and fruity varieties often seen as appealing to underage users. Popular flavours like blueberry, watermelon, cola, and pink lemonade could soon be off the shelves—even in refillable vape kits. Supporters say a flavour ban would protect children. Critics argue it could make it harder for adult smokers to quit. 💬 What do you think? Should flavoured vapes be banned—or is this going too far? Hit reply and share your opinion. We’ll include some anonymous responses in next week’s issue.

🚨 Murder Trial Update: Brantham Grandmother Case
The trial of Roy Barclay, charged with the brutal murder of 57-year-old Anita Rose, is under way at Ipswich Crown Court this week. Ms. Rose was walking her dog near her home in Brantham, Suffolk, when she was allegedly attacked and left for dead in a quiet lane. Barclay, now 42, is accused of fleeing the scene and evading police for more than two years, during which time he is said to have lived under false identities. Prosecutors claim Barclay disposed of Ms. Rose’s phone to hinder the investigation and make it appear as though she had simply vanished. The case continues, with emotional testimony expected from family members and key forensic evidence still to be presented.
