ποΈ Ipswich Borough Council Takes Action to Support Town Centre Regeneration
Ipswich Borough Council has announced it will be taking direct action to accelerate the regeneration of the town centre. π Calls for More 20mph Zones Across Suffolk Campaigners are urging Suffolk County Council to introduce more 20mph zones, arguing that lower speed limits could be a matter of life and death.
Road safety groups say that reducing speeds in residential areas, especially near schools and parks, would significantly cut the risk of serious accidents and improve quality of life for residents. The council has been asked to simplify the process for requesting 20mph limits, making it easier for communities to protect vulnerable road users.

𧬠Call for National Research Hubs to Tackle ME/CFS Leading UK scientists, doctors, and charities are calling on the government to invest in five new national research hubs to tackle myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). Around 400,000 people in the UK live with ME, a condition that currently has no definitive test or cure. Campaigners say better research is urgently needed β not just to improve lives, but also to reduce the estimated Β£23 billion economic cost caused by lost productivity each year. The new hubs would focus on causes, diagnosis, treatments, and care for severely affected patients. The proposal builds on the success of the DecodeME project, a major UK study into the genetics of ME that is expected to report its first findings soon. Read the full story and court details below
