Dear Elementary Families,
What a joy it is to write this letter to you as the new Elementary Principal at Lakewood Park Christian School. As Dr. Andrews recently shared, I have accepted the role of Elementary Principal and I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity. I'm excited to begin this new chapter alongside our amazing students, families, and staff!
For those who may not know me well, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
Education has been my passion and calling for the past 22 years. Before coming to Lakewood Park, I taught Kindergarten and 2nd Grade for nine years at East Noble School Corporation. Fourteen years ago, the Lord led my family to Lakewood, where I spent 11 years teaching 1st and 2nd Grade before serving as Admissions and Marketing Director for the past two years.
One of the greatest blessings of these past 13 years has been building relationships with our families. Many of you I have had the privilege of getting to know through teaching your children, walking alongside your family through the admissions process, or simply through friendships formed within our school community. For those I have not had the opportunity to know as well, I look forward to meeting you and building those relationships in the years ahead.
My husband, Adam, and I are deeply invested in the Lakewood community. Our daughter, Reese, will be a senior this year, and our son, Hudson, will be a freshman. Adam also serves as the Girls Varsity and Girls Middle School Soccer Coach. Lakewood is more than a school to us—it is home.
As I step into this role, my desire is to continue building upon the strong foundation that makes Lakewood such a special place. I am committed to partnering with our families, supporting our teachers, encouraging our students, and helping ensure that every child is known, challenged, and loved. Most importantly, I want our elementary students to grow in their knowledge of Christ and develop the gifts and talents God has given them.
I am truly excited for the years ahead and all that the Lord has in store for our school community. Thank you for the trust you place in us each day. It is a privilege to serve your family, and I look forward to getting to know each of you even better in the coming year.
Enjoy your summer, and I look forward to seeing you soon!
Blessings,
Mrs. Gaines
