Our Core Values

Although our elementary students are just beginning their educational journey, it's never too early to keep the end goal in mind. Every lesson, relationship, chapel, and classroom experience is intentionally laying the foundation for the young men and women we hope they will become. Our Portrait of a Graduate reflects our core values. From their earliest years, we are helping students become Engaged in Discipleship, Grounded in Wisdom, Equipped to Lead, Invested in Community, and Committed to Serve. These qualities aren't developed overnight—they are built day by day through the partnership of home, church, and school. Thank you for partnering with us as we disciple, encourage, and equip your child to live for Christ and make a lasting impact on the world around them.

Attendance: Setting your child up for success

As you plan for the upcoming school year, please consider our school calendar and plan family trips during scheduled breaks. Please note that approved absences are limited to six per semester, including absences due to illness. Any absences beyond six may be considered unexcused and could impact your child's academic progress. Thank you for partnering with us by making attendance a priority throughout the school year!

Reporting Absences

We understand that illnesses and other family events happen. To report an absence please:

  • Email: attendance@lakewoodpark.org

  • Call the Main Office: 260-925-1393

  • Submit any required documentation or doctor's notes when applicable.

LPCS AFTERCARE

The Lakewood Park Aftercare program offers after school care for our K-6th grade students. Aftercare is a service provided by Lakewood Park Christian School for families who are unable to pick-up students during the dismissal time frame. Students will be supervised by LPCS staff, and activities will be both inside and outside (weather permitting) and include structured and unstructured play time. Care begins at 3:15pm on normal dismissal days and continues until 6:00pm. There is no separate registration for Aftercare. Any K-6th grade students who are in the building after dismissal will be signed into Aftercare, and charges will be applied to their FACTS account. The cost of Aftercare is $5.00 per child/per hour. A charge of $1 per minute per family will be applied when students are not picked up by 6:00pm. Charges will be facilitated through FACTS Tuition management on the 10th of each month.

Miss Straley is our Director of Auxiliary Programs. She runs our Trek10 Summer Camps and Aftercare program.

FOOD SERVICE POLICIES

Carline Information and Reminders

Mondays: School begins at 8:30 a.m. Students are picked up by their teacher at 8:25 a.m. and walk to class together.

Tuesdays–Fridays: School begins at 7:50 a.m. Students are picked up by their teacher at 7:45 a.m.

Cafeteria: Opens at 7:00 a.m. each school day.

Late Arrival: If you arrive at or after the official start time, please accompany your child to the Main Office to sign them in before they head to class.

  • Please use the inside lane (red) to drop off and pick up elementary (K-4th grade) students outside the cafeteria doors. Do not use the elementary lane to stop and drop off or pick up students at the east gym doors. This backs up traffic flow and is a safety hazard. If you have an older student and elementary student. Please drop off at the cafeteria doors.

  • Students and parents need to use crosswalks when entering and exiting school. Please do not block the crosswalks when waiting in carline.

  • Elementary dismissal begins at 2:50 along the north side of the building. Carline tags are required for pick-up. Please display your carline number visibly in your window. K-1 students exit from the doors furthest west and 2-4 students exit from the cafeteria doors. Parents should remain in their vehicle and follow the carline to continue pulling up until directed to stop. Students are called from their classes and will exit the building when their carline number is called. If you prefer, you may park and walk up to the grassy median with your carline number. Families may not copy or write down numbers. Adults without a proper tag will be directed to pick-up their student at the Main Office. Replacement or additional tags are $1 and will be made after payment has been received. Families should save their carline tags each school year. If you are new to LPCS, you can pick up your carline tag at Back to School Night.

  • 5-12 dismissal begins at 3:10. If you have older student siblings and prefer to pick up only once, elementary students can be taken to the Worship Center holding area to be picked up by older siblings. Older siblings must come to pick up younger students in the Worship Center. These students will all be picked up beginning at 3:10 at the east gym doors.

Dress Code

As you prepare for the first day of school, please remember that K–4th grade students must wear shirts with sleeves and shoes with backs. Shorts must also be at least finger tip length or longer. We also encourage you to label backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles, jackets, and other personal belongings to help ensure lost items find their way back home.
