Even though winter is still with us, I wanted to take a moment to look ahead and share some excitement about what’s coming this summer at Lakewood Park.

This week, Hillary Straley, our Director of Auxiliary Services, joined me to share more about Trek 10, our summer camp experience that makes the most of the beautiful campus God has entrusted to us.

What is Trek10? ⛰️

Trek 10 brings together all of our summer camps into one meaningful experience designed around exploring our property over the course of 10 weeks. From wooded trails and outdoor adventures to hands-on activities and community-building, Trek 10 gives students the opportunity to learn, play, and grow in a Christ-centered environment.

What does Trek10 include? 🔎

  • Sports camps for active, energetic days

  • Specialty camps focused on specific interests and themes

  • Our signature full-day summer camp, offering a well-rounded experience for students

What's new this year? 🎊

This summer, we are excited to open Trek 10 to the broader Auburn community. In addition to serving our Lakewood Park families, we are welcoming new students and families to experience our programs, our campus, and the gospel-centered foundation that guides all we do.

One of the things Hillary shared that stood out to me was how much students enjoy exploring God’s creation during Trek 10. From discovering small creatures along the trails to learning how to care for and steward the environment around them, these moments often lead to meaningful conversations about curiosity, responsibility, and gratitude for what God has made.

Registration for Trek 10 opens on February 27, and I encourage you to mark your calendar. We are looking forward to another summer filled with joy, growth, and memorable experiences for our students.
