One of the central goals of the Wyoming Innovation Partnership (WIP) is to build a stronger, more connected entrepreneurial ecosystem across the state. By encouraging and facilitating collaboration among higher education, industry leaders, workforce development professionals, and economic development partners, the WIP is helping Wyoming’s innovators access the tools they need to launch and grow ideas right here at home. That means investing not only in programs and training, but also in systems that make Wyoming’s vast network of business resources easier to navigate and access.
Created by a joint partnership between the Wyoming Business Council, Wyoming Libraries to Business (WL2B), Laramie County Community College (LCCC), and the University of Wyoming, Wyo BizLink is a brand-new, free, searchable online platform that allows innovators to explore a statewide network of business resources. Be it mentorship, small business grants, training programs, financing options, market research, or help navigating business formation, Wyo BizLink helps people quickly find what’s available all in one place. It’s a streamlined solution for a common challenge: not knowing where to begin or how to connect with the right support at the right time.

“Several years ago, a number of other folks and I came to a literal table and had a discussion around challenges that entrepreneurs and business owners are encountering today,” Taylor Vignaroli, Entrepreneur Development Manager of the Wyoming Business Council said. “Out of that conversation, ultimately, we heard most strongly that business and entrepreneurs don’t understand what resources are available to them across the state or even in their local communities.” The platform is user-friendly, with resources searchable by topic, business stage and industry, and location. Entrepreneurs, business leaders and owners can also find community events, training opportunities, conferences, and access personalized recommendations. Because Wyo BizLink offers constantly updated and thoroughly vetted resources, information stays relevant and responsive to Wyoming’s changing business landscape. The WIP’s role as one of the project’s largest funding partners underscores the importance of cross-sector collaboration in building a resilient and accessible business ecosystem.

“This project has been in the works for a number of years,” Vignaroli said. “We wouldn’t be where we are today without very strong relationships and partnerships across our state. And we have worked really closely with a number of individuals and organizations that have really made this project what it is today.” By supporting tools like WyoBizLink, the WIP is helping bridge the gap between ambition and opportunity. The goal is to provide information, to empower entrepreneurs with clarity, confidence, and connection now and into the future. With better visibility into the Cowboy State’s business development landscape, more people can take that first step — or their next big leap — toward building something that will make an impact in their local communities.
