To the Utility Community, Alpha Omega Safety Solutions, a member of SPE Group, is seeking an experienced utility professional for the position of Crew Development & Safety Specialist. This is a full-time, field-based role serving municipal and utility crews throughout Michigan and surrounding areas. This is not a classroom-only training position. The Specialist will work directly with crews on active job sites and in training yards — reinforcing safe work practices, strengthening job briefings and hazard recognition, and coaching apprentices, journeymen, and crew leaders with guidance rooted in real utility experience. Training topics include pole top and bucket rescue, protective grounding, switching and clearance procedures, excavation safety, and work zone safety. Qualified candidates will hold the following: • Department of Labor-certified Journeyman Lineworker • Minimum of 3 years post-journey experience • CDL Class A license and current DOT Medical Certification • Valid Michigan driver's license • Willingness to travel regionally and work non-traditional hours The ideal candidate has earned credibility in the field and is ready to use that experience to develop others.
