Karen Arsenault What is your occupation? I am a retired teacher and coach. I taught 7th and 8th grade at Elizabeth Hastings Middle School and coached girls volleyball at Fairhaven High School for 25 years.
Hobbies/Interests?
I like to play beach volleyball, go paddle boarding, and spend time with family and friends.
Tell CFD something we don't know about you.
I am the first person to be inducted into the Fairhaven High School’s Hall of Fame as both a player and a coach. When did you start Crossfitting?
I started cf at Seaside CrossFit in 2012. What do you like most about CFD?
The thing I like the most about cf is that it’s different everyday and the ability to scale workouts.

What was your 1st CrossFit workout?
I cannot remember my first cf workout but I know it was brutal. In what ways has CrossFit changed your life?
I have met lots of great people through cf and I am stronger now than when I was a younger athlete. Favorite workout/movement?
My favorite movements are Toe To Bar and Box Jumps. Least favorite workout/movement?
My least favorite movements are Burpees and Thrusters Any advice you would give to the newbies?
My advice is to go slow and steady to start and just keep moving.

Bobby Rodrigues What is your occupation? I’m an Inside Sales Coordinator at Dartmouth Building Supplies — basically the behind-the-scenes hero who makes sure our sales team has the materials, pricing, and info they need to look good. If they’re Batman, I’m Alfred with a spreadsheet.
Hobbies/Interests?
Woodworking’s my thing. I’ve got a shop in the basement where I make sawdust, call it art, and pretend it’s productive therapy.
Tell CFD something we don't know about you.
I’m not sure what’s left to know about me — I sing karaoke at Canned Heat on Fridays, and sometimes at the gym during brutal workouts. If you hear “Livin’ on a Prayer” mid-burpee, it’s probably me just trying to survive. When did you start Crossfitting?
I started doing CrossFit in January 2025. The regular gym scene just wasn’t doing it for me — I wanted to feel like I truly belonged somewhere. That’s exactly what I found at CrossFit Dartmouth. The sense of camaraderie here is real — it feels more like a family than a gym. What do you like most about CFD?
I love how supportive everyone is. I’m so grateful for the coaches who genuinely care about our well-being and growth. They know exactly how to push you to your limits while still making it fun — and safe — every step of the way.

What was your 1st CrossFit workout?
I couldn’t tell you my first workout, but I’ll never forget my first CrossFit Open or Murph. Let’s just say those two introduced me to muscles I didn’t know existed. In what ways has CrossFit changed your life?
CrossFit has made me stronger in ways I never expected. I feel healthier, more confident, and yeah — a little thinner, which doesn’t hurt! But the best part is the friendships. Getting to sweat, laugh, and hit new milestones with such a fun group of people keeps me coming back. Favorite workout/movement?
I don’t really have a favorite workout, but I’ve got nothing against squats. Honestly, I think my superpower is my legs — they carry me through pretty much anything. Least favorite workout/movement?
Fran… yep, she’s my least favorite workout. We’re definitely not friends. Every time she shows up, I feel like she’s personally testing me. Any advice you would give to the newbies?
My advice: bring a positive attitude and give it everything you’ve got. Things you think are impossible will eventually get done — maybe not right away, but eventually. And the best part? You’ll do it surrounded by a community that cheers you on every step of the way. That’s the magic of CrossFit.

Meet Trenton Oh What is your occupation?
High risk Fire schoolhouse/wet trainer instructor at OTCN Newport. How long have you been doing Crossfit?
Coming up on 8 years of CrossFit experience. What brought you to CFD?
Moved to Fall river recently. Would have gone to the gym there but I got word that they closed recently and CFD took in the majority of their members. So now here I am. What are your hobbies and interests?
Hobbies/interest include investing, stocks, video games, movies, music, good company, farmers markets, card games, cooking, reading, hiking/trails, the outdoors when the weather is warm and the suns out. What's something unique about you that most people don't know?
Some might say I have a sleeper build. I don’t look crazy jacked kind of like Anatoly on social media if you know who that is.

Congratulations to Eric Griva for earning his Crossfit Level 1 Trainer Certification! A message From Coach Eric: The thing about Crossfit that makes it what it is to me is the coaching. Anyone can go do the Crossfit.com workout on their own at their local gym. But to have the direction, feedback and support is what made me instantly love this space. I am excited to contribute to the staff that made me feel this way. Looking forward to more growth together! ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________
