VOL.1 Edition 19

We've all been there – waking up with that overwhelming sense of not wanting to work on our business. The struggle is real, and the mental and physical energy required for entrepreneurship can sometimes feel elusive. But fear not! In this blog, we'll explore effective strategies to kickstart your day, shift your mindset, and propel yourself into a productive and fulfilling day of business activities.

Mindful Morning Routine:

Begin your day with intentionality. Create a morning routine that engages your mind and body positively. Incorporate activities like meditation, stretching, or a short gratitude practice to set a positive tone for the day. This mindfulness can help center your thoughts and prepare you for the tasks ahead.

Set Micro-Goals:

Instead of overwhelming yourself with a long to-do list, set small, achievable goals for the day. Breaking down your tasks into manageable chunks makes the workload feel less daunting. Celebrate the accomplishment of each micro-goal to boost your motivation.

Connect with Your Why:

Revisit the reasons why you started your business in the first place. Whether it's financial freedom, creative fulfillment, or making a positive impact, reconnecting with your purpose can reignite your passion and motivation.

Change Your Environment:

If possible, change your physical surroundings. Move to a different room, work from a coffee shop, or even take your laptop outdoors. A change in environment can bring a fresh perspective and rejuvenate your creativity.

Mind-Body Activation:

Incorporate a quick workout or energizing activity into your morning routine. Physical exercise not only boosts your energy levels but also releases endorphins, promoting a positive mood and mindset.

Visualize Success:

Take a few moments to visualize the successful outcomes of your business efforts. Picture achieving your goals, the impact you're making, and the rewards of your hard work. Visualization can be a powerful motivator.

Connect with Your Community:

Reach out to your business community for support and inspiration. Share your feelings and experiences with fellow entrepreneurs who understand the journey. Their encouragement can provide the boost you need.

Variety in Tasks:

If you're feeling uninspired, switch up your tasks. Tackling a different aspect of your business or trying a new project can bring excitement back into your work. Embrace the diversity in your entrepreneurial journey.

Fuel Your Body:

Ensure you're nourishing your body with a healthy breakfast and staying hydrated. Proper nutrition supports cognitive function and helps maintain sustained energy levels throughout the day.

Music and Podcasts:

Curate a playlist of energizing music or listen to motivational podcasts. The right audio stimuli can elevate your mood and provide the mental boost needed to tackle your business tasks.

Overcoming the morning business blues is about intentionally shaping your mindset and environment to cultivate a positive and productive day. Experiment with these strategies, find what works best for you, and remember that it's okay to have off days. The key is to regroup, refocus, and keep moving forward on your entrepreneurial journey. You've got this!

As an entrepreneur, and especially as a solopreneur, you work hard to take care of your business. You may very well work long hours too.

My question to you is this: Do you take as good care of yourself as you do your business?

The reason I asked this question is because most often you are your business.

Self-care is critically important if we are going to be healthy and have enough energy to continue our business, at least at the level we want. If you feel bad, or lack energy and are exhausted all the time, how well are you going to be able to function as CEO? How clear and on point are your decisions going to be?

But how can you indulge yourself in self-care when you are super busy having to tend to daily business details such as phone calls, emails, marketing, taking care of customers, developing content or product? Does self-care seem, in a way, selfish?

I’m here to tell you that self-care is not selfish! Rather, ignoring your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs is what is selfish. Because when you ignore your own needs and don’t take care of yourself, then you are unable to take care of others – including your business. That is selfish, and a bit delusional.

How do you take care of yourself? You prioritize the time to take care of yourself. You build it into your schedule and into your plan. And it doesn’t have to take gobs of time.

When you are well-rested, are eating healthy, engaged in stress reducing activities, and getting exercise, you are going to be more focused, have more energy, and bring a more energetic, focused, and better self to your business. You don’t end up burned up and burnt out.

Make time for yourself, and you and your business will thank you!

A bit perplexed about what you should eat, or what stress reducing activities or exercise you can do that is “do-able” for you? Send me an email at thehealingstrategist@gmail.com . I’ll be glad to talk with you about ways to take care of yourself.
