At Nurturing You Women’s Health and Wellness, we understand that maintaining a healthy metabolism and energy levels is essential for overall well-being. If you're feeling sluggish, struggling with weight loss, or just need a boost to jumpstart your fitness journey, our targeted injections can help. These specialized shots are designed to support your metabolism, increase energy, and promote weight management—making it easier for you to achieve your wellness goals.

MIC-B (Lipo-B) Injections: A Metabolism Boost

One of the most effective ways to support your metabolism is through MIC-B (Lipo-B) injections. These shots combine several essential nutrients that help your body break down fat more efficiently, promoting fat burning and boosting energy levels. MIC-B helps with:

  • Fat metabolism: Targeting stubborn fat and assisting your body in burning fat more effectively.

  • Energy boost: Increasing your vitality and overall energy, so you feel more active throughout the day.

  • Overall wellness: Promoting overall metabolic health and supporting healthy liver function, which is crucial for fat burning.

Whether you're looking to support a weight loss program or simply want a natural energy boost, MIC-B is a great option for enhancing your metabolism and reaching your fitness goals.

B12 Injections: Vital for Energy and Mood

Another powerhouse injection offered at Nurturing You is B12, a vitamin that plays a crucial role in overall health. B12 is essential for:

  • Boosting energy: Helping to overcome fatigue and sluggishness by supporting energy production at the cellular level.

  • Supporting brain function: Promoting clearer thinking and improved concentration.

  • Elevating mood: Helping to reduce feelings of irritability and sadness.

  • Enhancing red blood cell production: Supporting optimal oxygen levels and healthy circulation.

Many women are unknowingly low in B12, especially those following a plant-based diet, over the age of 40, or experiencing hormonal imbalances. If you're feeling moody, foggy, or tired, B12 injections can help restore your energy and improve overall wellness.

Personalized Medical Weight Loss Support

In addition to our metabolism-boosting injections, we offer a personalized medical weight loss program designed to address the underlying factors contributing to weight gain. This program includes:

  • Blood work: To identify any thyroid, vitamin, or hormonal imbalances that may be affecting your metabolism.

  • Dietary counseling: With our dietician, you’ll receive tailored meal planning and nutrition advice to optimize weight loss.

  • Fat-melting injections: MIC-B, B12, and L-Carnitine shots to enhance fat burning and energy levels.

Our goal is to provide you with the tools and support you need to lose weight at a healthy pace and sustain those results long-term.

American Heart Month

At Nurturing You, we believe in taking a comprehensive approach to your health, which is why we offer a wide range of blood tests to provide insight into your body’s functions. Each test serves a specific purpose in helping us understand what’s going on inside, and together, they allow us to create personalized treatment plans that address your unique needs.

🔬 Thyroid Panel: Understanding Your Metabolism and Energy Levels
The thyroid plays a key role in regulating metabolism, energy production, and overall well-being. Our thyroid panel includes:

  • TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone): Measures thyroid function.

  • FT4 & FT3 (Free Thyroxine & Triiodothyronine): Active thyroid hormones that regulate metabolism.

  • TPO & TG Antibodies: Help detect autoimmune thyroid conditions like Hashimoto’s or Graves’ disease.

  • Reverse T3 (occasionally): Assesses if your body is converting T4 into the active form properly.

🩸 Vitamin Panel: Ensuring You’re Not Missing Key Nutrients
Vitamins are essential for your overall health. We test:

  • B12: Vital for energy production and brain function.

  • Vitamin D: Supports immune health, bone health, and mood regulation.

💪 Metabolic Testing: A Deep Dive into Your Body’s Function
Understanding how your body processes food and manages blood sugar and fat is crucial for managing weight and overall health. We assess:

  • Lipid Panel: Measures cholesterol levels to assess heart health.

  • CMP (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel): A broad test that measures electrolytes, kidney function, liver enzymes, and more.

  • HbA1c: Shows average blood sugar levels over time, helping detect early signs of diabetes.

  • Fasting Insulin: Assesses how your body is managing insulin and glucose.

  • Morning Cortisol: Measures your stress hormone, which impacts your energy, mood, and metabolism.

  • HS-CRP: A marker of inflammation, linked to heart disease and chronic health conditions.

💉 Hormone Testing: Balancing Your Hormones for Optimal Health
Hormones play a crucial role in regulating many bodily functions, from mood to metabolism. Our hormone panel includes:

  • Estradiol: A key estrogen hormone that regulates menstrual cycles and overall female health.

  • Testosterone: Important for energy, muscle mass, and sexual health.

  • DHEA-S: A hormone that supports adrenal function and aging.

  • FSH, LH: Regulate reproductive function and menstrual cycles.

  • Prolactin: A hormone related to milk production and reproductive health.

  • SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin): Helps determine how much active testosterone is available.

These tests provide a detailed picture of your health, helping us tailor treatments to optimize your metabolism, energy, and hormonal balance. If you’ve been feeling off or just want to ensure you’re in your best health, a blood test can give you the insights you need!

At Nurturing You Women’s Health and Wellness, we’re committed to empowering women with the knowledge they need to advocate for their health. July marks Fibroid Awareness Month, a time to shed light on a condition that affects up to 8 in 10 women by the age of 50, yet often goes undiagnosed or untreated.

What Are Uterine Fibroids?

Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths that form in or on the uterus. They can range in size and number and may cause no symptoms at all, or lead to issues such as:

  • Heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding

  • Pelvic pain or pressure

  • Urinary frequency or urgency

  • Pain during intimacy

  • Difficulty with fertility or pregnancy

Early detection is key, as fibroids can sometimes grow large or cause complications if left unmanaged.

Who Is Most at Risk?

While any woman can develop fibroids, certain groups face a significantly higher risk:

  • African American women are two to three times more likely to develop fibroids compared to white women. They also tend to experience fibroids at younger ages, with more severe symptoms and a greater likelihood of requiring surgical intervention.

  • Women with a family history of fibroids are at increased risk. If your mother or sister had fibroids, your chances of developing them are higher.

  • Women in their 30s and 40s are most likely to be diagnosed, especially as hormone levels fluctuate with age.

  • Women who are overweight or obese may also be at greater risk, as excess body fat can influence hormone levels that affect fibroid growth.

  • Vitamin D deficiency, more common among women with darker skin tones, has also been associated with increased fibroid risk.

Awareness Leads to Action

Too often, women normalize heavy periods or pelvic pain, dismissing these symptoms as part of “being a woman.” But fibroids are not something you have to simply live with. Treatment options range from lifestyle modifications and medications to minimally invasive procedures and advanced surgical solutions.
