Groundbreaking for Ghost Pirates Ice Cove and Amphitheater

On Tuesday, Aug. 20, the City of Port Wentworth and the Savannah Ghost Pirates partnered for a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Ghost Pirates Ice Cove and City of Port Wentworth’s Amphitheater, which will open during the 1st quarter of 2026. Representatives from Zawyer Sports, the Ghost Pirates’ parent company, and the City of Port Wentworth were joined by dignitaries, including Mayor Gary Norton, Mayor Pro Tem Gabrielle Nelson, Councilman Shawn Randerwala, Councilman Rufus Bright, Councilman Mark Stephens, and Congressman Buddy Carter.
