Chakira’s Cookout: Full STEAM Ahead Success!

District 4’s annual Chakira’s Cookout: Full STEAM Ahead brought together families, students, educators, community organizations, and local partners for an exciting day focused on preparing students for success while celebrating the start of summer. Hundreds of attendees joined us for interactive STEAM activities, school resources, educational opportunities, health services, and family fun.

This event was about more than a cookout—it was about investing in our youth and creating pathways for success. Through hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, students were encouraged to explore new possibilities and engage with resources designed to help them thrive during the upcoming school year.
