INSPIRE ARTS CHALLENGE EISTEDDFOD

22ND/23RD AUGUST - PENRITH

Hi Performance Team Families,

We are so excited for our first Eisteddfod for the year with our Performance Teams this weekend at Inspire Arts Challenge Eisteddfod coming up on 22nd & 23rd August.

A quick reminder of all information communicated in our previous email.

REPORT TIMES

Students are to meet the DS team at their report time as outlined below. Students are to arrive with their first costume on under their DS Comp Team Jacket/Tracksuit. Please ensure dancers only pack what they really need in a small bag to ensure we have enough space for everyone. Please do not pack food etc for in the changeroom.

Please note: Parents will not be able to enter the changeroom with their dancer.

All information for each competition, with hair and makeup info will be outlined on the Performance Teams Info Site below. You can also scan the QR code on your costume bags once received to navigate to this site for all report times and information!

HAIR & MAKEUP

STOCKINGS, SHOES, ACCESSORIES

Please use the info site above to check all stocking and shoe requirements for each dance.

Stockings & Shoes will need to be purchased by families, unless otherwise noted. Accessories will be provided with your dancers costume, however, please note that any lost accessories will incur a fee for replacement.

UNDERWEAR

Please make sure underwear is seamless and tan. 

COSTUMES

Please speak with your dancers about being responsible with their costumes and accessories at eisteddfods to minimise lost property etc. Any lost accessories will incur a fee for replacement.

Please ensure you thoroughly check through your dancers costume bag PRIOR to each eisteddfod to make sure your dancer has all belongings, including any accessories.

*** IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR DIAMONDS TEAM ***

A quick reminder as communicated recently in class, Diamonds Jazz routine will require Black Fishnets and Black Jazz Shoes. This change has now been reflected on the info site.

TICKETS & ENTRY

ADMISSION – CASH ONLY ON THE DAY!!! CORRECT MONEY APPRECIATED BY ORGANISERS.

Adults (15yrs+) $17 / session $30 / day (2-3 sessions)

Conc / Child (5-14yrs) $12 / session $20 / day (2-3 sessions)

Non School Age (0-4yrs) FREE

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY

This eisteddfod allows photography and videography for a gold coin donation, in which you must stand in a designated area. There is to be NO photography/videography from the audience grandstand. Failure to comply with these rules may lead to disqualification.

ATTENDANCE

It is super important that in the lead up to our competitions that all students are present in all classes so they feel confident and prepared for the stage! Being in a Performance Team is being part of a team, so please make sure your dancer attends all classes unless you have a valid reason.

EISTEDDFOD COMMUNICATION

For last minute communication on comp days please make sure you are logged into BAND app. This is the best place to contact us if you need to get hold of the team, and we will post in there meeting points and if there are any changes or delays.
