BLACKTOWN LEISURE CENTRE

We are SO excited to kick off competition season with our All Star Cheer Teams! This is a super exciting time with the first competition coming up, the first ever for some of our athletes!

A reminder, it is super important that in the lead up to our competitions that all students are present in all classes so they feel confident and prepared for the competition! All Star Cheer is very much a team sport and without some athletes in attendance means other athletes cannot rehearse their stunt groups etc at all, so please make sure your athlete attends all classes unless you have a valid reason.

Costumes will be be handed out next week ✨

Here's all the info you need to know for the upcoming competition...

Please note all information for each competition will also be outlined on the Comp Cheer Mini website below which you can easily check prior to each competition. There will be a QR code to this site included on your costume bags when they are handed out shortly.

REPORT TIMES

Students are to meet the DS team at their report time as outlined below. Please ensure you allow enough time for traffic, parking etc.

Coaches will communicate and send a photo with information on BAND on the day of the comp to show you the exact location of the meeting point for our teams.

Students are to arrive with their Comp Cheer costume on with their DS Comp Cheer Team Shirt and/or Jacket/Tracksuit over the top. Please ensure your athlete is wearing their DS socks and any bows etc as part of their costume to every competition.

Please note: we will communicate Awards times once we have this confirmation from the competition organisers.

TICKETS & ENTRY

Ticketing will be available at the door, athletes will be provided with wristbands at the meeting point with our DS coaches.

UNIFORM, HAIR & MAKEUP

Please ensure all athletes have removed jewellery, nail polish etc. These things will be checked prior to the team taking the floor, and any infractions may result in disqualification for our teams.

HOW DOES IT ALL WORK ON COMPETITION DAY?

For those that are new to the All Star Cheer world, we understand you might be wondering how things work at the competition, here's a little rundown:

1. Athletes meet at the REPORT TIME as indicated above at the location provided by our coaches on BAND

2. Coaches take athletes to the warm up area to run through routines etc prior to hitting the floor, parents/carers at this time go and grab their seats, athletes will now remain with our coaches up until performance time

3. Athletes will then perform at the PERFORM TIME as indicated above (please note Cheer Competitions are renowned for running right on time, to the minute!), make sure you cheer our athletes on!

4. Coaches will then post on BAND when to pickup Athletes and where from. Athletes can then remain with you until the AWARD TIME as noted above.

Cheer Competitions are a super fun experience, we can't wait for our first one for the year for 2025!

For last minute communication on comp days please make sure you are logged into BAND app. This is the best place to contact us if you need to get hold of the team, and we will post if there are any changes or delays.
