And architects don’t wait—they design.

The most dangerous identity you can adopt is “powerless.”

{{contact.first_name}},

You are not a victim.
You are an architect.

Nothing will take you out faster than adopting a victim identity.

Yes—hard, unfair, even devastating things happen.
Yes—you may have started at a disadvantage.
Yes—you’ve made choices you wish you could undo.

And still… you have choice.

You have the power to respond in ways that keep you stuck…
or in ways that bring you back into your agency.

When I find myself in hard or unwanted situations, I come back to a few grounding questions:

  • What can I learn from this?

  • What is this here to teach me?

  • How might this be happening for me, not just to me?

These questions don’t erase the pain—but they loosen its grip.
They create just enough space for me to take my power back.

Because hard things are a given.
But how you respond to them? That’s everything.

This is where architect energy comes in.

Architect energy is creator energy.
It’s the moment you remember:

👉 My life is mine to design.

Not instantly.
Not perfectly.
But intentionally.

When you shift out of victim thinking and into creation, your life becomes a design project.

And every design starts with one question:

What do I actually want?

I often ask my clients:

What would your life need to look like 6 months, 12 months, or 2 years from now for you to genuinely say, “I love my life”?

Not perfect.
But deeply right.

Your time.
Your work.
Your energy.
Your relationships.
Your body.
Your contribution.

Do you have a clear picture of that?

Because the clearer that vision becomes, the more your present-day choices start to align with it—almost automatically.

This is a core part of the Inner Game, doing the internal work first so your external actions actually work.

It’s something I guide my clients through all the time.

Let me give you a simple example.

When I was living in Texas, I had a quiet but persistent desire:

I wanted to walk to work.

That was my version of an ideal life.

Good luck doing that in Texas!

But I held onto it.

I imagined it.

And when the opportunity came—a couple years later—I chose in alignment with that desire.

We moved to Boston.
I took a role at Tufts.
And for over five years, I walked to work every day.

Ten minutes.
Fresh air.
Sun on my face.
A rhythm that grounded my life.

People would say, “You’re so lucky.”

But it wasn’t luck.

It was clarity → choice → alignment → follow-through.

This is exactly how sustainable change happens—not through force, but through clarity and aligned decisions over time.

And that’s available to you, too.

Now zoom out.

That was one decision.

But what happens when you apply that same intentionality to 10… 20… 100 decisions in your life?

This is what it means to be the architect.

So, here’s where I want to leave you:

Start noticing what you want.

Not what you should want.
Not what looks good to others.
But what actually feels like yours.

Where do you have choice right now?

Where can you take one small step toward a life that feels more aligned?

Where can you move, even slightly, toward your deepest gladness?

This power is yours.

You are not a victim.
You are an architect.

Get building.

And if you’d like a thought partner in designing a life and career that actually fits you—

I’d love to support you.

Because you can be successful in your career—

The pressure, fear, and scarcity creep in.

Over the next few emails, I’m opening up a different conversation.

About what it actually means to be good with money—

and why most people were never taught how.

I’ll be in your inbox a bit more.
