Hey friend,
Sometimes, life puts you in the fire, not to destroy you, but to forge something deeper in you.
That fire can look like a rejection you didn’t see coming.
A layoff. A closed door. A second interview that never turned into a third.
When you're in it and the heat is rising, the air feels thin, and your fear or despair starts to take over, it’s tempting to shut down. To retreat. To give up.
Some people do.
Some people hang on by a thread and come out burned.
They carry the weight of it, the smell of smoke, for a long time.
But others…
They lean in.
They know the fire isn’t just pain. It’s a forge.
It burns away what’s no longer needed.
It sharpens what’s been dull.
It builds what you’ll need to carry into your next chapter.
Even the hardest season can hold a sacred invitation—
→ To go deeper.
→ To get stronger.
→ To stretch not just your skills, but your soul.
This doesn’t mean ignoring the grief.
Feel what you need to feel.
Rage. Weep. Wallow.
Throw yourself a glorious, candle-lit self-pity party. I’ve done it too.
But when your time in that space is complete (and only you can decide when that is).
Pick yourself back up.
Get back in the game.
Do the reps.
Not because it’s easy, but because you are not done yet.
Decide to believe harder, in your goals, in your gifts, in yourself.
Sink into a deeper knowing:
→ Of who you are.
→ Of what you bring.
→ Of the work that’s calling you forward.
And if you’re a person of faith, or simply open to life’s mystery, remember:
You are not alone.
You were created with purpose.
You are deeply, unimaginably loved.
Maybe you’re being prepared for something even better.
Maybe the path is being cleared even now.
Maybe you’re being held in ways you can’t yet see.→
