The job didn’t fit but she kept wearing it anyway.

Hello {{contact.first_name}},

She did everything “right.”

She was the perfect consultant. Degrees from prestigious schools. Earned all the right credentials. Hustled harder than anyone around her. Delivered to client after client, year after year.

So when Avita got fired, the humiliation cut deep.
They said she “lacked the skills” needed for the team.

After all that effort?
After doing exactly what they told her to do?
It was a crushing blow.

But as the shock wore off and we began to unpack it together, something surprising, surfaced underneath the shame:

Relief.

Avita realized this job had never truly fit her.
It felt like a jacket she kept trying to wear, but never quite fit.

If she was honest... she didn’t even like the work.

She hadn’t been following her calling.
She had been performing for validation.
Following a script someone else wrote — and it nearly broke her.

Like the ocean’s current — subtle, strong, and often invisible — expectations and approval can quietly pull even the most self-aware off course.

When you’re not discerning the work that is uniquely yours to do…
When you’re not attuned to what energizes and engages you…
When you don’t know how to translate that into a value proposition the market actually needs…

You drift.
Like a ship without a rudder.

And in today’s job market, with its chaos and uncertainty?
That drift can be dangerous.

The people rising above the noise right now aren’t the ones chasing applause.

They’re the ones tuning inward.

They move with conviction, even when no one is clapping.
They make decisions based on energy, alignment, and joy.
They trust their inner compass — and let that guide the way.

It’s powerful.
It’s magnetic.
And it’s how you reclaim your career.

Because here’s the truth:

👉 This kind of clarity and confidence?
It doesn’t come from working harder.
It comes from alignment — with your superpowers, your purpose, and your self-trust.

How about you?

✨ Is your inner compass sharp right now?
✨ Are you fueled by clarity, energy, and engagement?

If not, that’s okay. Just don’t stay there.

Let’s get you back on course — with clarity, confidence, and a deep sense of purpose guiding the way.

The Career Accelerator begins September 24th.
If you’re a professional woman ready to grow in clarity and confidence — and you know the value of doing this work in a supportive, discussion-rich community — I’d be honored to guide you.

Would you be willing to forward it to a friend or colleague who’s navigating career uncertainty?
Your small act of sharing might be the exact encouragement they need today.

On a lighter note...

This week, between coaching calls and curriculum planning for the next round of the Career Accelerator, I found myself watching my two-year-old grandson attempt to “fix” a loose cabinet door with a plastic spoon. He was so confident, completely convinced he had the right tool for the job.

It made me smile… and it made me think.

How often do we, as adults, keep reaching for the same tools effort, credentials, people-pleasing, only to wonder why things still feel stuck or misaligned?

Sometimes it’s not about trying harder. Sometimes it’s about picking up the right tool.

And sometimes? It’s about realizing the cabinet door was never yours to fix in the first place.

Here’s to clarity, courage, and using the tools that actually work for you.

We'd love to hear from you!
