Never let your job get in the way of your career!

A job can suck every imaginable ounce of your energy (and then some) if you let it.  It’s up to YOU to protect and nurture your career.

Newsflash:  It’s no one’s job to do this but yours!

If your employer supports you in growing your career, you’re in the lucky minority.  It benefits them as much as it does you.  But never give 100% to a job at the expense of your career.

Play the long game.

Prioritize some time and energy each week or month on behalf of your career.

Not only will this put you in a more powerful and confident energetic position, but it is also the secret sauce to creating a job and career that is built on your unique superpowers (which is where all the fun, mastery, energy, impact, and flow reside!).

A Productivity Hack I’m Trying

I’m not much for time management or productivity hacks, but this one really resonated with me. It’s the 3/3/3 Method:

  1. Spend 3 hours on your most important task.

  2. Complete 3 shorter tasks that are important but maybe you’ve been avoiding.

  3. End with 3 maintenance tasks. These are things that need to be regularly done.

I’ll be trying it out this week. Care to join me? If so, I’d love to hear how it goes for you! Here’s to getting some of those big projects done!

On a Lighter Note:

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your to-do list (and maybe eyeing your third cup of coffee), just know you’re not alone. I’m right there with you—testing out the 3/3/3 Method this week and cheering myself on every time I finish a task that’s been sitting on my list way too long. If you’re joining me in giving it a try, I vote we count "showing up for ourselves" as a win too. Progress over perfection, always. Here's to a little more ease, a little more breathing room, and maybe even crossing a few stubborn tasks off the list this week! We’ve got this. 🎉

We'd love to hear from you!
