Hosting at Home: Effortless, Not Perfect

Create One Signature Moment

When you’re hosting at home, you don’t need to go over the top. Focus on creating one special moment your guests will remember – a beautifully styled bar cart, a grazing board in seasonal colors, or a welcome drink served on a pretty tray. (or my favorite) matching blankets and s'mores bar by the firepit!

• Pick a simple color story (two colors with a neutral) and stick to it.

• Use real glassware for the signature drink and keep the rest low-key.

• Turn on candles and a curated playlist 15 minutes before guests arrive – instant ambience.

• Themes are great (and encouraged) but sometimes less is more. Also, when having a themed party, ask your guests to dress up or bring something that will accompany the theme!

Seasonal Sip: Sparkling Citrus Thyme Spritz

Light, bubbly, and perfect for toasting engagements, showers, or a cozy night in.

Ingredients (1 cocktail)

• 2 oz prosecco or dry sparkling wine
• 1 oz gin (or zero-proof botanical spirit)
• 1 oz fresh orange or grapefruit juice
• 1/2 oz simple syrup
• 2–3 sprigs fresh thyme
• Ice + citrus slice for garnish

Directions

• In a shaker, gently muddle thyme with simple syrup.
• Add gin, citrus juice, and ice. Shake briefly.
• Strain into a chilled glass, top with prosecco, and garnish with thyme and citrus.
