Dear Students, Families, and Friends,

Happy New Year! As we welcome 2025, we are filled with excitement and gratitude for the incredible milestones we achieved together in 2024 and the opportunities that lie ahead. The Harrison School of Music and New City School of Music are proud to have you as part of our musical community, and we cannot thank you enough for your continued support and commitment to the power of music.

Looking back on the past year, one of the highlights was our unforgettable performance at the Kennedy Center. Watching our talented students rise to the occasion on such a prestigious stage was truly inspiring. The memories created that day will no doubt remain with all of us for years to come. The dedication, hard work, and artistry displayed by our students were a testament to the vibrant community we have built together.

Another major achievement was the New City School of Music's move into its very own permanent home! After years of dreaming, planning, and growing, we officially opened our new space on December 16th 2024, a place designed specifically to nurture creativity and foster a love of music. This new chapter marks a significant step forward, providing a welcoming environment where students can thrive and build lasting connections.

As we look ahead to 2025, we have even more exciting plans in store. We are thrilled to make an announcement coming soon about our 2025 destination recital. Stay tuned for details—we can’t wait to share this incredible opportunity with you! This year promises to be one of growth, discovery, and musical achievement, and we are so glad to have you along for the journey.

To our students: thank you for bringing your passion and dedication to each and every lesson. To our families: thank you for encouraging and supporting your loved ones in their musical pursuits. Together, you are the heart of our schools, and we are honored to be a part of your lives.

Pajama Week AND Bring-A-Friend Week Combo!

January 27th - February 1st

Stay cozy this winter! Students, teachers and staff are invited to wear their favorite pajamas to lessons during Pajama Week, January 27th to February 1st—because there's nothing warmer than staying snug in your jammies while making music, no matter how cold it is outside. To make it even more exciting, bring a friend to your lesson and double the fun! Share the laughter, the music, and the joy of playing in your coziest pajamas—it’s the perfect way to beat the winter chill together!

Tunes are catchy, but so are germs!

If you are feeling unwell, please do not come to your lesson in person in order to help keep our staff, teachers, students and families healthy. We have many options available so you don't miss out on your lesson!

You can always have a virtual lesson and have your lesson from home, request a pre-recorded video lesson in advance of your lesson, or send a well-feeling friend or family member in your place!

Many teaches have sold out. If you need a schedule change or would like to be added to a waiting list for a particular teacher, day or time, please contact any of our office staff team and they can add you to the waiting list. If you are not a student yet, there are still limited spots available. You can also log in to your portal to see teacher day/ times and availability!
