Getting to us - Newport Roadworks update

If you're heading to the practice over the next week, there are a few things worth knowing right now. As part of the Level Crossing Removal Project, Champion Road has been permanently closed at the rail line, and Maddox Road is closed until 3am on Saturday 25 April — the recommended detour in the meantime is via Kororoit Creek Road, Mason Street or Melbourne Road. A new link road connecting Champion Road to Maddox Road via Akuna Drive is now open, and most local journey times are only marginally longer. There's also currently no westbound informal parking between Maddox Road and Challis Street, so it's worth allowing a little extra time to find a spot. If you're travelling by train, check your journey on the Transport Victoria app before heading out, and as always, give our Client Support Team a call if you need any help working out the best way to get to us!

Clinician Spotlight: Susan Saxe

"It's none of my business!!" In this month's Clinician Spotlight, Susan Saxe shares why letting go of how others see you might be the most liberating thing you ever do, the quiet joy of birdsong over a morning cuppa, and why staying present — rather than racing ahead to the worst-case scenario — is the practice that keeps everything manageable. Play Therapy for Children

Sometimes children don't have the words for what they're feeling — and that's completely okay. Play Therapy with our own Susan Saxe offers children a safe, supported space to express and process big emotions through the most natural language they know: play. Whether your child is navigating anxiety, family changes, grief, or social challenges, play therapy can make a real difference. Medicare rebates are available with a GP or Paediatrician referral.
