Danish Art Exhibit Opens at Grand View

GRAND VIEW UNIVERSITY -- The Prairie Meadows Gallery in the Rasmussen Center presents two NFDA exhibits by Danish artist Suzanne Thea. The exhibits will be displayed now through December 6.

Changing of the Danish Royal Guard

Each summer, HM Queen Margrethe II enjoys days at Gråsten Palace in Southern Jutland.  NFDA's Bruce Bro visited there in July and took this video of the charming "Changing of the Guard" ceremony, which happens each day during HM's time there.

Danish American Wins Best Vocalist 

Danish American performer Anita Lerche was recently recognized as Best Vocalist by the InterContinental Music Awards, for her rendition of “I Danmark Er Jeg Født” from her new album Songs From The Kingdom Of Denmark.  Anita also credited Pianist Bo Riemer a Sound Engineer Thomas Vang for success with the album. The Valeur-Jensen Stamford Denmark Race

The 59th Valeur-Jensen Stamford Denmark Race will be held next Sunday, September 8. Attracting both performance sailors and the more occasional racers, the Denmark Race remains one of the largest day races on the Long Island Sound.
