Blazing the Way Together: Building the Future of Camp Swatara

Camp Swatara recently celebrated a milestone—one year since completing our feasibility study, where we prayerfully discerned that God was opening the way for us to launch our next Capital Campaign: Blazing the Way Together.

This campaign focuses on improving our Family Campground, a vital part of our ministry that helps sustain our mission and supports our summer resident camp programs.

The campaign includes three goal levels:

  • Victory Goal: $2 million

  • Challenge Goal: $2.5 million

  • Faith Goal: $3 million

Funds raised will support several key projects, including:

  • A new bathhouse in the Woods area of the Campground

  • Improved roads throughout the Campground

  • New cabins in the Woods area

  • And the retirement of debt from our 2024 pool addition

We are excited to share that the Woods Bathhouse was completed and fully paid for in June of this year! Even more, through a generous estate gift, we were able to pay off the pool debt—making Camp Swatara completely debt-free!

As we look ahead, we invite you to join us in blazing the way together—continuing to build into the future of Camp Swatara so that campers and families for generations to come can continue to grow in faith, make lasting memories, and glorify God.

Looking Ahead to Summer 2026 at Camp Swatara!

As the leaves begin to change and we reflect on another wonderful summer at Camp Swatara, we’re already looking forward to what God has in store for Summer 2026!

Now is the perfect time to start planning your Family Camping trip for next summer. Reservations fill quickly, especially for our most popular weekends—so scheduling early ensures you’ll get the dates and site you want! Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a full week under the stars, family camping at Camp Swatara is the perfect way to rest, reconnect, and experience God’s creation together.

We’re also encouraging churches to start conversations with young families about the life-changing opportunities of Summer Resident Camp. Camp is more than just fun and games—it’s a place where faith is formed, memories are made, and God is glorified.

Upcoming Outdoor Education Days at Camp Swatara!

Calling all homeschoolers! Join us at Camp Swatara for hands-on, Bible-based outdoor education designed for the whole family. These mornings are filled with learning, discovery, and the joy of exploring God’s creation together!

Each program is interactive, faith-centered, and perfect for curious kids who love to learn outside the classroom. Parents and guardians are asked to remain with their children throughout the program to share in the fun and learning together.

Cost: $10 per child — Please pay online when registering.

Upcoming Events

Family Camp Closing Weekend

Join us to close the Campground for the season! We will be landscaping and cleaning to prepare the grounds for the winter. All ages are welcome to join. Volunteers are welcome to camp FREE for the weekend. We provide coffee/snack and lunch on Saturday October 25.

Annual Contributors' Dinner

This year’s event will include a 2025 year-in-review report, sharing our exciting vision on future plans at Camp Swatara, and a dedicated time of worship in thanksgiving.
