Welcome Coach Megan

New Coach: Megan Wallenius

We are thrilled to announce the addition of Megan to the BTB team! Recently relocating to Ottawa after completing an MSC in Physiotherapy at Brunel University London, Megan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our gym. With a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Queen’s University, Megan has served as a strength and conditioning intern for varsity athletes across various teams. Their background includes work in physiotherapy clinics and hospitals in both Canada and the UK, focusing on rehabilitation and injury prevention. Megan is currently pursuing credentialing to become a licensed physiotherapist in Canada. Passionate about fitness, Megan enjoys working out with others, hiking, and has recently taken up running. In addition to their athletic pursuits, Megan enjoys reading and thrifting, and holds a black belt in Taekwondo. We look forward to Megans’s contributions and are excited for our community to get to know her!

Susan Olson

This month, We are pleased to spotlight Susan Olson as our Member of the Month. Susan exemplifies dedication and resilience, consistently attending workouts despite facing various injuries. Her unwavering commitment to her fitness journey is truly inspiring.

In addition to maintaining her gym routine, Susan has embraced new challenges by incorporating curling into her activities while continuing to pursue her passion for golf. This willingness to adapt and diversify her interests not only enhances her own fitness but also fosters a sense of community among fellow members.

Susan's achievements remind us that persistence and adaptability are key components of a successful fitness journey. We congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to seeing her continue to thrive in her endeavours.

We Are Hiring

We are seeking a skilled, licensed massage therapist to provide services to our clientele 2-3 times per week, with an opportunity to increase to 5x per week starting in February/March to cover maternity leave. This contractor position is perfect for someone looking to grow their client base while working within a dynamic fitness environment that promotes holistic health and wellness.

Baby News Going Into The New Year!

Exciting News: Baby Shower Workout for Erin Case!

We’re thrilled to announce a special event to celebrate Erin Case, our beloved RMT, as she prepares to embark on her journey into parenting! 💕

Mark your calendars for Saturday, January 25th as we come together for a fun and festive Pregnancy-Themed Workout in Erin’s honor. It’s a perfect way to show our love and support while getting in a great sweat session!

✨ Postpartum Rehab Class: Supporting Moms Every Step of the Way! ✨

Are you or someone you know ready to rebuild strength, confidence, and function after pregnancy? Our next cycle of Postpartum Rehab Class runs from January 20th to February 14th. This is a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with your body, improve core and pelvic floor strength, and join a supportive community of moms!

Youth Strength & Conditioning Class:

Starting January 2025

Join Our Youth Class January 2025!

Exciting news for 2025! Starting in January, BTB will be launching a Youth Fitness Program designed to inspire the next generation to stay active, build strength, and develop a lifelong love for fitness. This program is ideal for youth looking to boost their athletic skills, improve confidence, and gain valuable fitness education in a supportive and fun environment.

Classes will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6-7PM, providing structured, age-appropriate workouts (Grades 6-9) that focus on foundational strength, mobility, and safe movement patterns. Whether they’re new to fitness or already active, this program will be a great way for young people to build healthy habits early on.
