Welcome to the July edition of our Gym newsletter! Get ready for an exciting month ahead filled with early bird pricing for an upcoming competition, massage therapy, a great new set of teens and youth classes to keep your kids busy for the summer, and Trivia Night. Youth & Teen Summer Training

Summer Program at BTB! Teens & Youth Class

School is out for the summer! Looking to get active and build new habits?

As we strive to provide comprehensive fitness offerings for all members of our community, we are pleased to announce two new Summer Youth Strength and Conditioning classes at our gym. These specialized program are designed to help youth and teenagers develop the physical skills, discipline, and self-confidence needed to thrive both in sports and in life.

Led by our highly experienced training staff, this class will focus on building muscular strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance through a variety of dynamic exercises and training techniques. Participants will learn proper form and technique for free weights, resistance training machines, plyometrics, and other modalities to optimize performance and reduce the risk of injury.

In addition to the physical benefits, this class will also emphasize the importance of goal-setting, work ethic, and mental toughness – key attributes that translate directly to athletic success and beyond. By instilling these values in our youth, we aim to foster their overall growth and development into well-rounded individuals.

Whether your child is a competitive athlete looking to gain an edge or a recreational exerciser seeking to improve their general fitness, this youth strength and conditioning class is an excellent opportunity to invest in their long-term health and wellness. Teens Class Details:

For Grades: 10-12

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays @6pm

*Before we have kids join our youth class we have them perform one personal training session known as a Youth On-Ramp Session prior to beginning classes. Trivia Night AT BTB Gym

Join Us for BTB Trivia Night – Fun, Facts, and Friends!

We are excited to announce our upcoming BTB Trivia Night! This event is a fantastic opportunity to gather, have some fun, and test your knowledge about our gym's history, pop culture, and even some intriguing member trivia.

Event Details:

  • Date: Wednesday, July 24th

  • Time: 6:15 PM

  • Location: BTB Gym

What to Expect:

Trivia Topics: Gym history, pop culture, and member trivia

Refreshments: Beverages and snacks will be available

Cost: Free for all members, their family, and friends

Register Now for the Between The Bumpers Summers End Partner Competition!

Get ready for an exciting and unique fitness challenge! We are thrilled to announce the Between The Bumpers In-House Competition, taking place on Saturday, August 31st at BTB Fitness.

This competition will feature teams of two and will include a mix of classic functional fitness workouts and farm-inspired implements as workouts in the farm fields, and hay bale workouts. It’s a great opportunity to test your strength, endurance, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.

Our competition will be available for many skill levels and abilities! It will also be open to the general public outside of the gym!

Welcome Our New Registered Massage Therapist: Erin Case!

We are excited to announce that Erin Case, an experienced registered massage therapist, will be joining our team and accepting bookings starting July 5th!

If you are a regular attendee to our 6AM classes then you will know Erin quite well, for playful attitude, fun loving nature, and effort in the gym! We are excited to have Erin moving from Member to Member of the Staff!

Erin has been a registered massage therapist since 2010 and brings over a decade of expertise in helping clients achieve their health and wellness goals. She has worked with a diverse range of individuals, including athletes, working professionals, and retirees, offering tailored treatments to reduce pain, improve performance, and promote relaxation.

Whether you're dealing with the stresses of a busy work life, looking to enhance your athletic performance, or simply seeking a moment of tranquility, Erin's skillful touch and personalized approach will help you find relief and rejuvenation.

Coaching Farewells & Introductions

We have a bittersweet announcement to share this month. One of our cherished coaches, Samantha, will be stepping away from her role at BTB.

Samantha's journey with us began as a student in the Fitness and Health Promotion program. She once said, "I'm thankful to have been given the opportunity to complete my field placement at BTB and increase my skills as a prospective fitness coach. I'm passionate about helping people live the life that they envision for themselves. What better way to do so than to help people increase their overall functional fitness? I'm excited to get to know everyone in the BTB community!"

Samantha's passion and dedication shone through from the start. She transitioned from being an intern to a vital member of our coaching staff upon completing her degree. During her time with us, she also pursued a psychotherapy degree from Yorkville University. Now that she has graduated, her practice has been flourishing, requiring her to focus full-time on her new endeavor.

While we will miss Samantha's energy and expertise, we are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and excited for her future. Please join us in wishing her all the best as she embarks on this new chapter.

As we bid farewell to Samantha, who is stepping away from coaching this month, we are thrilled to announce two fantastic additions to our coaching staff this summer.

First, we welcome Sarah Kennedy, a longtime BTB member and back-to-back winner of our BTB Member Awards. Sarah joined us during BTB 1.0 in the "garage of dreams" and has been a loyal member ever since. Apart from being an outstanding athlete, Sarah is the owner of Silk Web Solutions, an avid golfer, dog wisperer, and all-around badass. We are beyond excited to have her join our coaching team and bring her incredible energy and expertise to our members.

Additionally, we are pleased to introduce Brett Irwin, our intern from Algonquin College, who will be with us for the entire summer. Brett comes to BTB with a solid background in mixed martial arts and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He integrates these unique practices into his coaching style, adding a fresh and dynamic approach to our training sessions. We are very excited to have him on board and look forward to the unique perspectives he will bring to our community.
