Hey audience builders, before we dive into the nitty-gritty, can we just appreciate how every debate on LinkedIn feels like a friendly game of intellectual ping pong? Well, here's my serve on the "Niching Down vs. Differentiation" debate!

Ditch the Niche?

So, I stumbled upon some folks who think niching down is so last season. They argue that differentiating yourself is where it's at.

Adriana Tica kicks it off with a "Don't Niche Down" pitch. She says, "Go big or go home," implying that a narrow niche won't fetch you seven figures.

But hold on, Adriana! I've seen niche businesses raking in big bucks. And they're not unicorns; they're just doing things differently.

Jay Clouse joins the chorus, chanting, "Differentiate, don't niche!" And I agree, unique perspective matters. But guess what? Niching down can help you find that unique perspective too.

Niching Down To Grow Up

Let's take Ali Abdaal as our case study. Starting small with BMAT test tips, he built an empire in productivity.

Niche โžก๏ธ Broad โžก๏ธ BOOM! ๐Ÿš€

And then there's Gary V, the "wine guy" turned entrepreneur extraordinaire. He dominated his niche, then expanded like a boss. ๐Ÿท โžก๏ธ ๐Ÿ“ˆ

So, my take? Niching down is like planting a seed; it's the foundation. Differentiation? That's the sunlight and water that make it grow.

So, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Keep niching down, but sprinkle that differentiation magic on top.
