GRADING PERIOD THREE As we begin a new grading period, this is an opportunity for cadets to reinvigorate themselves and recommit to ending the semester strong. As of the publication date of this Weekly Warrior, we have only TWENTY regular class days left in the semester! We then go straight into final exams the week of December 15. FINAL EXAMSRemember that cadets who miss a final exam are not permitted to make it up. The only allowable absence during final exams is a medical or other exigent circumstance. This means that leaving early on winter break means the student will receive a zero for any exam(s) missed. CADET ABSENCE FORMSSome clarification regarding Cadet Absence Forms is in order. If a cadet is missing any Residential/Cadet Life activities (parades, community events, community service, parade practices, inspections, etc), only his TAC may approve those absences and should do so in advance. If a cadet misses any portion of the academic day, only the Dean of Academics can approve those absences. Remember that the only excused absences are for illness or medical appointments, attendance at a funeral of a family member, an appearance in court, or other exigent circumstance approved by the Dean of Academics. If a cadet is missing BOTH something in Residential/Cadet Life and Academics, then both the TAC Officer and Dean must approve the absence. Patrons are asked to submit the Cadet Absence Form as far in advance as possible, and in cases where an absence is unplanned, submit the form as soon as humanly possible FREE SAT/ACT PREP COMING THIS SPRINGDon’t miss this opportunity! Mrs. Gillen will be offering a free SAT/ACT Prep course on Wednesdays after school during the spring semester. 📌 A registration form will be released soon, so stay tuned for details! WORKING OFF DEMERITSLooking to clear a few demerits? Cadets can earn one demerit point for every 15 minutes of approved work completed for a staff member. Stop by the Academic Learning Center and speak with Dr. Ryan, or check in with any staff member who might need help.

Last weekend, ANA JROTC hosted its first-ever archery competition right here on campus. This marks a major milestone in our growth and community outreach. A total of 11 teams competed throughout the day. This friendly, competitive match-up allowed the archers to showcase their skills and put their teamwork to the test. Afterwards, and to make this event more special, we hosted a beachside barbecue and award ceremony to congratulate all the competitors on their hard work and to recognize the top three most accurate teams. Overall, the weekend was a huge success, allowing JROTC programs to come together and bond, setting a strong foundation for future events. The write-up and highlight reel below were created by Cadet Major Nick Huggins, who is Honor Council President and The Voice of ANA for all our parades.
