ANA TV BEGINS FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR

ANA's media production cadets have released their first episode of ANA TV for the new school year. Hosted by Jonah Bucatinsky, the episode includes coverage of the Tournament of Champions, Warrior Water Polo, a new documentary project, and interviews with our Dean of Academics and the grandfather of cadet Troy Samoa. Check it out!

SPECIAL OLYMPICS SERVICE OPPORTUNITY

The Army and Navy Academy is proud to announce that we are partnering with Special Olympics Southern California to provide a Unified Fitness Club for Special Olympics athletes of the greater Carlsbad/Oceanside area. Beginning January 10, 2026, ANA cadets will have the opportunity to teach Special Olympics athletes about fitness and participate in joint fitness activities with those athletes, coach Special Olympics sports teams, play on what are called "Unified Sports Teams" (which join individuals with intellectual disabilities and cadets playing on the same team), and assist with logistics for Special Olympics events that will be held at ANA and in the surrounding area. Cadets will be able to earn Community Service hours for these activities, and use some of this time to work off demerits if they wish. We are looking for cadet leaders to lead a new "Unified Sports Club" managing this entire effort. Interested cadets should contact Dean of Academics Dr. Mark Ryan to sign up for the club and/or to be a club leader. You can stop by his office or email him at mryan@armyandnavyacademy.org.

This is a wonderful opportunity for cadets to give back to disabled youth and adults in our community, gain valuable leadership experience, have something amazing for their resume, and feel great about making a huge difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

END OF GRADING PERIOD 2

Friday, October 31, is the end of the second grading period. Cadets with any missing assignments as of Sunday night, October 26, will be assigned to a mandatory study hall from 7:15-8:45 pm on Monday through Thursday, October 27-30. This is true whether a cadet is a boarder or a day cadet - any missing assignments means the cadet is assigned to mandatory study hall.

If a cadet still has missing assignments as of 8:45 pm on Thursday, October 30, he will be required to remain at school after Friday, October 31, dismissal to complete those missing assignments. Cadets who fail to attend the mandatory study hall earn 5 demerits.
