A NOTE FROM MISS KATE M:

This week is one of our favorites (and busiest) weeks of the season. Halloween show week!! We of course love seeing all of the fun costumes and dances. But we also really enjoy getting to see so many families in the studio. It's a packed house (and parking lot and streets!!!), but packed full of love and support...and for that we and the dancers are so very grateful.

• Tomorrow night at 11:59pm the logowear store closes, so be sure to get those orders in!

• This week only we have a raffle for a FREE recital costume going on. $5/ticket, buy 4 get the 5th one free! (Cash only unless you're buying 4 or more).

  • ALL proceeds go towards our special needs non profit, Darbys Dancers! Thank you in advance for your support!

  • If we get a lot of tickets, we may even pull more than 1 ticket!!!

• We have 4 families we are sponsoring this year through Christmas Clearing Council. Gift tags are up at the front desk.

• Coat drive! Go through your closets and bring in any jackets you no longer need. Now through Thanksgiving break.

We can't wait for our final 2 nights of Halloween week fun! And then more fun coming next week when I come around to each class to start sizing recital costumes!! (So be sure to wear tight fitting clothing to class).

LDC LOGOWEAR STORE IS OPEN FOR ONE MORE DAY!! Closes TOMORROW at 9pm!!

If you will be dancing/walking with LDC in the Waukesha Christmas Parade (we hope LOTS of you will as always, ALL are welcome!)...you will need to order the RED PARADE SWEATSHIRT (either hoodie OR crewneck, design shown below). This not only makes sure we look like a nice, cohesive group, but more importantly...it's a safety aid as it helps us know who is all there with LDC.

HALLOWEEN SHOW WEEK (10/25-10/30)

It's one of our FAVORITE, most fun weeks of the season!

• Performances happen AT LDC during the last 20-30ish minutes of every hour, during your REGULAR CLASS TIME.

  • Half hour classes, you will either need to come a little early to practice or stay late to perform that week.

• Wear your Halloween costume OR dress festive! Get creative, we love to see it!

• Each class will meet together in the BLACK STUDIO, along with family and friends that come to watch.

• Classes will perform their dance TWICE and finish with a group photo and of course, some candy!!

LOOKING AHEAD:

RECITAL COSTUMES (November & 11/15):

• Starting Monday 11/3, Miss Kate will come around to each class and start sizing the dancer for their recital costumes!

  • PLEASE wear TIGHT FITTING CLOTHING (and removable skirts/tutus) to class until you've been sized!!.

  • We do leave room for growth, so don't worry. And come springtime, if alterations are needed, Miss Kate's talented mom Miss Jan, will get everyone all set!

• Balances will be processed on 11/15. Amount is based on the age of the class:

  • Ages 2-3 & 4-5: $35, plus tax

  • Ages 6-8: $40, plus tax

  • Ages 9-12 & Teen: $45, plus tax

WAUKESHA CHRISTMAS PARADE (12/7)

• Sunday 12/7 at 4pm. We'd love to have another BIG LDC crew dancing/walking with us.

The board is UP and the recital website is LIVE!

If you've been here before, you know the deal :)

If you are new to us...we can't wait for your to experience the magic that is recital! You may think it's just one weekend in the spring, but there are quite a few elements and special moments throughout the year that make up this special core memory.

BOARD IS UP: Be sure to check out the poster on the slat wall in the lobby (look for the balloon display and huddle of people!).

RECITAL WEBSITE IS LIVE: We have a dedicated recital website that will house all of the information you will need. We spread it out over the course of the next 6 7 months, so not all is released yet, but the photos of the costumes and songs names are!

Next up...costume sizing begins next week...THAT is so much fun!!
