We are SO excited for another great season of dancing together! A few reminders/housekeeping items for you as we start the season.

MISS ROSIE & "THE BIG SISTERS"

We are beyond excited to announce that Miss Rosie will be leading Darby's Dancers this season! She joined the program as a big sister when we first started it at LDC and she is excited to now step into the lead teacher role (as are we!). Miss Rosie will provide a fresh, unique perspective to the class and based on her first few classes...she's already rocking it!!

Miss Lori, as many of you know, is expecting her 4th baby this fall and will have her hands super full with 4 kiddos under the age of 6. But she will still be around LDC as a dance mama and will continue to be a huge Darby's Dancers supporter!!

Our big sisters are AWESOME! Seriously...I say this each year at recital, but how many teens do you know that will willingly get up early every Saturday morning to volunteer their time?! When we first started, I didn't think we'd get any....but we have proudly had a great crew every season!! Will send a "get to know the bigs" email in the coming weeks!!

NATIONAL DUES....DUE :)

As you know, hopefully (!), Darby's Dancers is a National non-profit 501(c)(3)and we are proud to have our chapter since 2017!

With our various fundraising efforts throughout the season, we are able to provide weekly dance lessons, recital costumes and a few other surprises here and there at NO cost to you!

There is an annual fee that is paid to the National non-profit. We ask that each dancer pays $50 and we cover the rest.

Thank you to those that have already sent yours in. We appreciate your promptness!

LOOKING AHEAD:

This is where we will post any class changes.

Our "big sisters" are all students at LDC and many are on our teams. There will be a few times throughout the season where they will be out of town for a competition or performance and we will not have class. We will let you know as soon as we know if that's the case!

DATES WE WILL NOT HAVE CLASS (as of today):

• Saturday May 2

This program succeeds when we work TOGETHER!

A few ways we can do so:

• Remember that our Big Sisters are here to help! That said, they may not always know the best way to do so. They will walk their dancer out to you after every class (and usually greet them in the hall before class).

  • This is a great time to touch base quickly and share tips, insight and encouragement!

  • Please be patient with them as they handle new situations and know that they truly have the biggest hearts and want to help however they can. And of course, treat them with respect <3

• Keep us informed! We know things change as the dancers grow up and you know them best. So please share with us (either in person or feel free to send an email) with any updates we should know!

• Keep being the AWESOME parents you are!! We are honored to be part of your dancer's life and part of your "village", because we know it sure does take a village to raise kiddos.
