A NOTE FROM MISS KATE:

It's almost school time (and for some of you it already is!). We know these next few weeks can be cRaZY getting back into routine, sleep schedules, homework, etc. We understand!

LOTS of our LDC team are parents themselves and/or work in the school system during the days. So take a deep breath... you got this! Know that we know the kids may be extra tired (or extra energetic) next week and are ready to pivot as needed :)

We hope everyone had a great summer and has a smooth start to school. We look forward to dancing together all season and seeing your kiddos grow as dancers, but more importantly as people. Seeing their confidence grow, how they overcome challenges (because there will be challenges!) and making new friends is what makes our job the BEST job their is.

This past Sunday the LDC team met for our Season Kick Off meeting. It's always so great to get us all together to brainstorm and share new ideas on how to make the season the best it can be. I feel so lucky to have the team we have. We had a very productive 3 hours together and are all pumped for Season 18!

WELL DONE PERFORMING COMPANY!!!

On Sunday, our Performing Company took the field and performed at the Lake Country DockHounds Baseball game! They did AWESOME!! We loved their energy and they got the crowd pumped for a great game. One of our dancers, Kenzie G, even got to throw out the first pitch...and threw a great throw!!!

The day before, they kicked off their season with a fun team bonding party and group rehearsal. BIG thank you to Miss Deanna for ALL that she does for the Performing Company. It truly is a special team to be a part of!!

REMINDERS:

Did you know we have lockers!

We do! These are GREAT for dancers that are here multiple days...so if you are interested in RENTING a locker for the season, stop by the front desk (or send us an email) and we will get you all set. Limited amount, so get yours now if interested!

• $25/locker for the 25/26 season

• You choose your locker # and location (must be 13 to use Teen Lounge)

• Let Miss Stacy know your locker # and your lock combo

• And you're good to go to leave all of your stuff locked up all season!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

• Tuition gets processed with the credit card on file on the 25th of the month, August-March.

• Makeup classes are allowed and encouraged!

  • We know life sometimes gets in the way of dance class, so feel free to make up any missed classes at your convenience within 30 days of the missed class.

  • Check out the schedule on our website for class options (CAN be a different style)

  • Please note: Make up classes are NOT allowed March-May, as each class is busy working on their recital dances.

What do we need to wear for class?

• While we don't have a super strict dress code, we do need our students to wear appropriate dance clothing and shoes to class.

• Below is a dress code guide to help get you started.

• The main things we need to see in class:

  • Proper dance shoes for the style of class they are taking.

  • Hair pulled back in a ponytail or bun so it's out of their face.

  • Tighter fitting clothing (with the exception of hip hop) so we can see their alignment and offer corrections.

Where can I get dance wear or dance shoes?

• We LOVE our friends over at Ballera Dance in Brookfield. They will help get you expertly fitted to ensure your dancer has the best dance experience.

• You can also shop online, just note sizing may be tougher.

How do I know where to go that first week?

• We got you! Stop by the front desk and ask for help. Or you can also see the sign on the corner of the counter that lists every class and which room it will be in.

• In your parent portal it will also show the room, just please note that could change slightly between now and when class starts or throughout the year if needed.
