A NOTE FROM MISS KATE:

I hope everyone had a nice snow day yesterday. Whether you played outside or had a cozy family movie night like my family did...I hope everyone stayed warm and safe! Thank you for your patience with my sending this email. The software was getting an update yesterday that resulted in some bugs. I wanted to wait to make sure it was all fixed before sending. Full moon, snow storm and technology glitches..."wacky Wednesday" for sure!

Dancers that take Wednesday night classes, feel free to wear your red/whilte/pink next week!

NEXT week, the dancers and their VERY talented teachers will start learning their recital dances!! That means spring is SO close and the real fun is just beginning. Each class has their own unique choreography and formations, so starting next week, 2/17, make up classes are no longer allowed. We find it is too confusing for the dancers (both the class and the dancer doing the makeup. Thank you for understanding!

LDC TEAM SHOWCASE!

AT THE SHARON LYNNE WILSON CENTER IN BROOKFIELD

Are you interested in joining one of LDC's 3 teams someday? This is the show for you!

We have 3 teams: Sparkle Squad (ages 5-9), Performing Company (ages 8-18) and Competition Team (ages 11-18). All 3 of these teams will be performing at their annual team showcase. We hope you will come support them, it's a great show!

• Tickets are $15 each, plus tax

• Tickets are now on sale at LDC! You can email us your order or stop by the front desk.

• Show will be around 2 hours and 20ish minutes.

RECITAL COSTUME DISTRIBUTION!!

• ABSENT LAST WEEK? Be sure to pick up your costumes when you are in for class next. And most importantly, TRY THEM ON when you get home. If anything feels too small, we need to know ASAP. Thanks!!

RECITAL TEES!!

HOW CUTE ARE THESE?! These tees make for a great memento for the dancers! They love to wear them for years to come (and make for a special graduation tee shirt blanket when they graduate!)

Deadline to order is SATURDAY MARCH 1.

We have sample sizes at the front desk area (on the slat wall). Feel free to try on a sample to make sure you order the right size! Click the green button to see the google form below for more details!

10 & 15 year dancers...make sure you fill this form out (even if not ordering a recital tee). I have a special tee coming just for you!

FUN STUFF, MARK YOUR CALENDARS:

SPIRIT WEEK: This week wear RED, PINK AND/OR WHITE! Also be sure to stop by the table in the lobby to fill out a heart. Write on why you love dance and/or dancing at LDC. We are LOVING reading all of the special notes you are writing.

10/15 YEAR DANCERS: Don't forget to upload your headshot (see email that was sent 1/18/25). Please do so by 3/1 at the latest! We can't wait to celebrate you and your dedication to dance and LDC! Thank you to those that have done this already...only have a few, so keep them coming. Any issues uploading? Just send them to Miss Kate via email.

The lobby running has definitely been better lately, please continue helping us out with that. 

PARKING LOT: The city confiscated our sign by the sidewalks the other day, so until we can get an official city approved street sign, a reminder for everyone. Please keep the area by the sidewalk/mailbox CLEAR. This allows parents to circle the court, pull up and let their dancer out directly to the sidewalk and avoid the parking lot during those super busy hours. But if cars are parked right in front of the sidewalk, that sadly doesn't work. Thank you for your cooperation!

• We will be sending out recital info in small bits over the next few months. The recital website will be updated accordingly. But if you ever have any questions...especially our newbies, just let us know! We are always happy to help however we can.
