A NOTE FROM MISS KATE:

There is a great energy in the halls this week at LDC. We have our annual "fill out a heart" table set up and we are LOVING the sweet notes the dancers (and some parents) are writing. Be sure to take a stroll around and read some...I guarantee they will make your heart swell. And don't forget to fill one out when you're in!

RECITAL COSTUME DISTRIBUTION!!

• Monday we started the super exciting..recital costume handout process!

  • Make sure to wear TIGHT FITTING clothing this week, as we will be trying on costumes and making sure they are all still good to go fit wise.

  • Dancers will take home their garment bag on their FINAL day of classes for the week. If you dance Monday, but have a class again on Thursday...you will put your bag on the garment rack in black and wait to take home until you have them all!

  • Dancers will get their costumes in a garment bag with their name on it. Tights will be IN their bags (on the bottom). Make sure to keep these in a SAFE place until May when it's recital time. Save the dress-up play for after recital please :)

  • REMINDER: If any costumes are a bit too big/long, etc. Miss Kate's talented mom, Miss Jan, will be at LDC in the spring to do any alterations...free of charge for you!

RECITAL TEES!!

HOW CUTE ARE THESE?! These tees make for a great memento for the dancers! They love to wear them for years to come (and make for a special graduation tee shirt blanket when they graduate!)

Deadline to order is SATURDAY MARCH 1.

We have sample sizes at the front desk area (on the slat wall). Feel free to try on a sample to make sure you order the right size! Click the green button to see the google form below for more details!

LDC TEAM SHOWCASE!

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 16 AT 2:00 PM

AT THE SHARON LYNNE WILSON CENTER IN BROOKFIELD

Are you interested in joining one of LDC's 3 teams someday? This is the show for you!

We have 3 teams: Sparkle Squad (ages 5-9), Performing Company (ages 8-18) and Competition Team (ages 11-18). All 3 of these teams will be performing at their annual team showcase. We hope you will come support them, it's a great show!

• Tickets are $15 each, plus tax

• Tickets are now on sale at LDC! You can email us your order or stop by the front desk.

• Show will be around 2 hours and 20ish minutes.

FUN STUFF, MARK YOUR CALENDARS:

CULVER'S NIGHT: This Thursday, 2/6, stop by Culver's on GRANDVIEW and support them (because they're awesome and delicious) AND support our specail needs non profit, Darby's Dancers by doing so. Thank you for doing so and thank you CULVER's...you are the best!

SPIRIT WEEK: The week of Feb 10-15 wear RED, PINK AND/OR WHITE! Also be sure to stop by the table in the lobby to fill out a heart. Write on why you love dance and/or dancing at LDC. We can't wait to fill the walls with heartfelt notes!

STORYTIME THURSDAY: Mark your calendars and tell your friends...Thursday 2/13 at 9:30am-10am is our FREE Storytime. We hope you will bring your little one for some fun for them and connection time for you too! Drop in dance class afterwards for ages 2-5, from 10-10:30am...$10 donation to Darby's Dancers gets you in on that fun!

10/15 YEAR DANCERS: Don't forget to upload your headshot (see email that was sent 1/18/25). Please do so by 3/1 at the latest! We can't wait to celebrate you and your dedication to dance and LDC! Thank you to those that have done this already...only have 2, so keep them coming!!
