Better Hearing Month
May is Better Hearing Month, a great reminder to prioritize your hearing health and reconnect with the sounds and conversations that matter most.
If you’ve been asking people to repeat themselves, turning the volume up more than usual, or struggling in noisy environments, now is a great time to schedule a hearing check.
Here’s an interesting hearing tip: research from UCLA and the University of Arizona suggests that the right ear is often better at processing
speech and logic because it is more directly connected to the left side of the brain. So if you’re in a noisy restaurant or having trouble catching what someone is saying,
try turning your right ear toward the speaker — it may give your brain a helpful clarity boost for conversation.
On the other hand, the left ear is often better at picking up music and emotion, which makes it great for enjoying your favorite songs and moments of relaxation.
If you’re struggling to hear conversation clearly, it may be time for a routine audio evaluation, a hearing aid programming adjustment, or even a conversation about newer hearing technology.
We’re here to help.
Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is a beautiful reminder to celebrate the women who fill our lives with love, encouragement, and wisdom.
Clear communication helps us stay connected during the moments that matter most — from family meals to heartfelt conversations.
If hearing challenges are making those moments harder to enjoy, we’d love to help you or someone you love hear more clearly and confidently.
Memorial Day
This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
We are grateful for their sacrifice and for the freedoms we enjoy because of their courage.
From all of us at Jorgensen Hearing Center, we wish you a meaningful Memorial Day surrounded by those you love.
