MOVING FORWARD / NEXT STEPS
Because I only have about 2 hours a week set aside to work on this blog, I don't expect fast growth. This is a good thing because you'll get to see a super realistic view of how sites grow even when you don't have a ton of time.
This is a passion project and it's got good bones, so I'm going to stick with it.
My next steps are going to be to:
Remove/replace affiliate links: There are affiliate links in every single post and I don't want the blog to have that many. I'm a bit pickier with affiliate links than most folks are, but I make sure they're hard hitting affiliate links.
Build out clusters: I deleted about 1/3 of the blog posts that were on the blog, but kept a few blog posts that are a solid beginning to a cluster. For example, I want to add in more food roundups. There was only one, but I loved it (and it gets traffic).
You may be thinking, "food posts on a travel blog?!" but this isn't just a travel blog: it's about India travel, culture, experiences, etc. So it all ties together for me.
I used Topical Map AI to save me tons of time and energy. It built the clusters out for me, so I can spend time using RightBlogger to write the articles - then I can pass them off to my two new fact checkers to finish them up for me.
