Update From Director Nick Doak!

Hi everybody! It’s Nick Doak, Director of West Chester Music Academy, with another monthly update. Enrollment is at an all time high -- Over 300+ students! We are so thankful to be able to serve the West Chester community and beyond with our love and passion for teaching music. Thank you parents and students for the opportunity each week.

Thank you to all that came out and supported our annual 2022 Spring Recital! We had over 1/3 of our students participate in this year's recitals. Wow! It was a great day of performances, and I'm so impressed with everyone's progress since the Winter Recital. Right now, our next recital is scheduled for December 2022, but how would you all feel about an end of Summer recital? Maybe something different, like a smaller theme recital. --All 80s music or Disney? Or, perhaps more of a rock band style recital. Let me or Natalia know in the office what you think or through email. Thanks!
Next up: Summer lessons! With enrollment on the rise, we expect another jamming summer session this year as more families join our musical community. What does that mean to you? Well, a lot of our teachers are almost full or already have a full schedule. The big thing we don’t want to happen is somebody leaves for summer, they try to call us back in August and we have no spots for them. That’s the scenario we want to avoid. Of course, we will be hiring more awesome teachers as we continue to grow, but if you really love your current time and teacher, please consider staying enrolled throughout the summer. Here's how we can help keep your day and time with your teacher when August resumes.
We have 4 great options for you:
1. Zoom in for your lesson at your scheduled lesson time, or
2. Receive a customized recorded video lesson, or
3. Attend any of our group make-up lessons held every weekend, or
4. Sublease your spot to a family member or friend.
But the big thing is, enjoy your summer! Go to the beach for a week, whatever it is you’re going to do and travel. Have a great time. But don’t lose your spot with your teacher by withdrawing because you want to keep that spot, especially a prime time spot between the hours of 3:30 and 8pm. Those are the spots that are in the most demand. So, take advantage of our summer lesson options.
And, don't forget about our referral program. If you refer a friend or family member to us, we'll give you your choice of: $25 to Target, $25 to Amazon, or FREE additional lesson voucher. Whichever you prefer! Be sure to refer your family and friends, and thank you for your referrals.
Finally, of course we want to thank our WCMA families. Thank you, students and parents, for sticking by us, for referring your friends, and helping us get to our next milestone. We'll see you next time at West Chester Music Academy. Cheers to making music by the pool!

West Chester Music Academy is the ONLY music school in southeastern PA that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests with the Musical Ladder System®. It has been awarded multiple patents and is being used by schools nationwide. Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool "Musical Ladder System®" wristbands that they can show off to their friends.

The Musical Ladder System® is a national music lesson award system proven to help students get excited about music and keep parents 'informed' as to how they are doing.
Similar to karate belt tests, every 3 months or so your teacher will schedule a test for you or your child. If the students passes the test, they will receive one of these really cool wristbands for their level. They also get a certificate of achievement.
This program has been proven for years to bring a smile to parents and students and we're very excited about enhancing your music lesson experience. At certain levels they also get personalized trophies with their name on it.
This system also comes complete with the Musical Ladder System® Parent/Student Portal so you can log in online and see when the next test is, recital, send notes to your teachers, review past lesson notes and more! This will take parent communication to the next level!
The best part? It's all FREE for you, our valued clients. Most karate schools charge their clients $50.00 per test....PER test! However, all of your wristbands, trophies, certificates and online accounts are all FREE and part of your WCMA tuition.

Holiday Closings 2022
Spring Break: We will be closed for Spring Break from April 13th, 2022 to April 19th, 2022.
Memorial Day: We will be closed for Memorial Day on May 30th, 2022.
Summer Break: We will be closed for Summer Break from July 3rd, 2022 to July 7th, 2022.
Thanksgiving Break: We will be closed for Thanksgiving Break from November 22rd, 2022 to November 27th, 2022.
Winter Break: We will be closed for Winter Break from December 22nd, 2022 to January 1st, 2023.
There are no makeups for the above break closings as tuition is based upon a 48 week year. During the months that you have 5 lessons, we do not charge you more. During the months that you have 3 lessons, we do not charge you less. If you have any questions, please refer to the Policies and Procedures. Don't forget to practice during the breaks! :-) |
